My girlfriend and I, living in Germany, went to visit my family upstate. In order to cut down on travel we broke our return trip into two days, opting to spend one in NY before flying the next day. We booked Park Savoy because it was conveniently located and relatively inexpensive for Manhattan. Unfortunately the stay, while bearable, was probably...

Okay first things first....prepare to lower your standards if you are trying to save a couple of bucks. Not going to lie, as I was entering the building I was praying I didn't witness anything I couldn't unsee or hear but it really wasn't that bad. This hotel is OLD. I'm talking box spring mattress with a rail head board....

Magnificient location nearby Central Park! Free WiFi! Your own bathroom! The room is small but it's enough to have a rest! We came "home" just to sleep. Normal bed and not noisy (I know what noisy means after the previous hotel!!!) I really recommend. Very comfortable and cheap for room with own bathroom!!!!

The hotel is such a great location, Right next to central park and a short walk from 5th avenue and times square. However after visiting New York for the first time I now know location isn't important. Its so easy to get around New York on the underground you can stay anywhere and still see what you want to see...

For the money and location this place is good. Room was clean. However, it took forever, it seemed, to get hot water in the shower and the tv didn't work. But I didn't really care because I only needed a place to sleep and shower. I'd stay again for sure.

It is a tiny, very basic and a bit outdated hotel, but comfortable and clean. The room was clean and we got fresh towels every day. It is situated in a fantastic location! 2 minute walk from Central Park and 3 minute walk from Subway station that takes straight to Times Square and downtown. The area is safe and the...

That title still belongs to Mangattan West. Location is very convenient to Central Park and Columbus Circle and an easy walk to Fifth Avenue and Tines Square. Elevator is very tiny and only holds 4 passengers. Room is basic and tiny but clean. It was a bit stale though so we opened window and turned on bathroom exhaust for cross...

I've been with my wife when we had a wedding, and actually the stay was perfect, we did not have any problems, and the breakfast was ok. If I would have the opportunity to stay in NYC, I would do it again.

Nothing fancy here, but if you're looking for a place that is close to many sights and activities and budget priced then this is a place you might like. The rooms are small but clean. Just allow extra time for hot water in the shower and to catch a ride on the elevator as they are sometimes slow in arriving...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
