Cozy, small and welcoming hotel, the systems seemed a bit "tired", with a bathroom that lacked sufficient heat and old pipes in the walls that were far too noisy when the room next door used their bathroom. Perhaps the room rates reflect the trade offs in comfort and services one makes staying here.

A delightful boutique hotel off E 54th Street! The staff was amazing, the hotel was quaint and quiet, and the complimentary breakfast and happy hour were quite the treat! It was convenient to the subway, shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel and the staff were the best I have ever encountered. My husband and I were upgraded to the President's Suite and WOW- it was great. We loved the breakfast, cookies and tea and coffee all day and the wine hours everyday. I would recommend this hotel and give it 5 stars.

We have stayed multiple times in the last year and have not been disappointed. The service is top notch, they are helpful and get to know your name very quickly. The rooms feel like home and the breakfast and lounge area are very nice (we love the cookies and wine at 4). Location is great. If I am booking, this...

This is my 4th stay in the past three years and I will not stay anywhere else when visiting the city. The staff are professional and unpretentious...they do their job. The doorman the front desk, the house keeping and guest lounge staff are consistently helpful and thoughtful.

When inputting into the search engine, “safest places to stay in New York,” the Library Collection of Hotels came up. We decided on the Hotel Elysee, part of this collection of hotels. What a wonderful decision we made - Location, Location, Location! Hotel Elysee is walking distance to the theater district, Times Square, and Rockefeller Plaza, luxury shopping, and Central...

This is my first choice place to stay in NYC. Perfect location, convenient to shopping, museums, theaters, transportation; excellent, friendly staff; extras (complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea, wine, cheese, crudités); clean, comfortable rooms, each with its own charms; European in feel; equally good for solos and families. I have stayed here many times and always love returning. You will be...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
