Just back from 4 nights in NYC with an old friend, staying at this quaint European style hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, steering us in the right direction and helping us make plans. The room had two double beds and was quite spacious. Excellent location, and really nice to have breakfast and wine/appies included. I would definitely stay here...

From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, friendly, and made us feel great. The room was perfect and the happy hour and the breakfast (all included) were so well run...

We were surprised to find our stay was very enjoyable and worthy of a repeat performance. Our accommodation were very roomy , the staff was very helpful , and the breakfast and happy hour was a bonus we enjoyed and did not anticipate, Great bargain all around.

Great location, staff are quite helpful and friendly, we had a room with a balcony which was nice as our February weather was unseasonably warm. Will stay there again. Breakfast quite adequate and served until 11:00 am.

This stay was a mixed bag. Location is great & staff is friendly. Room was large, especially for NYC, but looks dated instead of elegant. It was also dark but that's what you get on a side street in the city. Hospitality lounge was a nice thought but bland -- others I've been to have fresh baked cookies, cappacino machine&...

The Hotel Elysee is a gen between Madison and Park on E 54th. It is moderately priced and extremely well-appointed and comfortable with a welcoming staff. The highlight is a large lounge on the mezzanine open all the time for a light breakfast, tea, and free newspapers, plus a borrowing library. This was our second visit and we booked a...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
