Many places to stay/go in NYC, but we like returning to the HME. Nice staff, good service and a wonderful historic hotel at the edge of a historic neighborhood. Close Grand Central Station, good bus connections, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Good value, as well. On a busy street but very quiet. Highly recommended.

The bed already was dirty, the chair and desk were both worn and dirty. Smell would not go away. Toilet ran night. Heat was either on or off not regulated. Horrible night of no sleep. Do not recommend this for even one night stay.

We paid for the park and stay package which was so worth it. Location was a little hard to find for not being from NYC. Staff was very friendly and quick for any problem we had. The wifi connection was spotty but worked for what we needed.

For a long weekend in NYC, this historic hotel (The Tudor prior to becoming a Hilton property) was a perfect fit. Location just across 42nd Street from the Concord Plus Bus stop which runs nonstop from Portland, Maine. Great rate, 3 blocks to Grand Central Terminal and 1 block from the United Nations. Amenities adequate and room size, by NYC...

Our daughter attends school here and we came for one of her performances. Early check in enabled us to get into our room quickly I did have to stop and show my id to activate the key function on my app, but we checked in easily and quickly. Our room was clean and comfortable- small, but it's NYC, so we...

Clean, safe and great location. Excellent bar/restaurant areas and bartender. Clean rooms. A little small but that is to be expected in NYC. Excellent service. Keyless entry is nice. Would recommend this place.

First of all a wonderful staff from the always smiling and helpful Chafik and Chris handling your luggage and answers any question relating to restaurant, shops, transportation and sights, to the smiling Christine in the reception and helpful cleaners. Truly a home away from home.

I really like this hotel. Because it's a historic property rooms are smaller. I recommend this hotel to people that seek history in their surroundings. If comfort is important, don't choose this property. That said. My stay was amazing, thank you.

Good location, comfortable, decent hotel, small room but typical for NYC. Friendly staff, responded fast to request for towels and were good about a later check-out. First time I stayed at this Hilton but familar with the area so it's good close to Grand Central and lots of restaurants. I would stay here again.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
