I concur with others - this is a great hotel - large rooms and suites, wonderful staff, fabulous location BUT they're not done with their outside remodel. We were on 21st floor and would come home late afternoon to put our feet up and close our eyes before dinner and a show and it was like being in a dentists...

My daughters and I stayed at The Kimberly for one night in October and couldn't have been happier. The property is being renovated and definitely needs it - carpet is worn and things look a bit shabby. That said, we had plenty of room to spread out in the one bedroom suite. The bedroom had two comfy full sized beds...

The Kimberly is one of the most beautiful hotels I have seen. The decor in this lovely boutique hotel is incredibly elegant, and yet the place makes you feel very much at home. The amenities are so thoughtful, including umbrellas in the event of rain! Sadly, we were staying at The Kimberly to be near Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital, so this...

This hotel was just divine. We were lucky enough to be upgraded. The room and features were great, the space was very good for NYC. The only negative would be midtown manhatten is not my preferred location to stay, but it was only to sleep, and the subway makes it simple to get around. Beautiful hotel. Great breakfast.

I stayed at the Kimberly October 3rd to the 7th with my 3 sisters. The one bedroom executive suite was awesome. Very spacious. The pull out Queen sofa bed was very comfortable as was the King bed. Our refrigerator did not work when we arrived, so Joseph and Dwight from maintenance promptly came to our room and replaced the fridge....

After a full week of business travel and let downs with other hotels The Kimberly was just what the doctor ordered. Great check in experience and gorgeous room at a less rate than I paid for a cruddy Sheraton across town. The ameneties were great! Slippers, robe, stocked wet bar, and the sheets where silky smooth. I need to find...

We have stay here before and each time it gets better with all the renovations being done. The staff and service is 5 Star and the location is perfect in mid-town close to every thing we needed. The work being done can be a bit annoying if you are trying to do some office work in your suite during the...

I have stayed at MANY NYC hotels ranging from the Mandarin to the Marriott...I have also lived in Manhattan for 10 years so I know what I am talking about when it comes to NYC. I have NEVER had a better hotel experience anywhere than at the Kimberly Hotel. It is a small European style boutique hotel in probably the...

I stayed here as it had good reviews and seemed to be a more reasonable option than my normal business haunts - the LondonNYC and the Surrey. Usually i like boutique hotels. Wish I hadn't. First, the hotel is undergoing some sort of external renovation, so it is swathed in scaffolding. I HOPE they are re-doing the lobby, as what...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Kimberly is a traditionally styled, boutique suite hotel located between 3rd & Lexington Avenues. With 30 rooms and 162 suites ranging from 266 to 935 sq ft., we offer personalized service from a warm and caring staff. Most of our suites have balconies, a rarity in NYC and many offer views of the city. Our mattresses are covered with feather beds and decked with Frette linens, which earn comments such as "I didn't want to get up" from our guests. A bonus here, is that in addition to our on-site fitness center, work-out enthusiasts can use any of the NY Heatlth and Racquet Club's 9 locations, including pools and work-out classes at no additional cost and can enjoy a cruise for three hours on their 75 ft yacht (in season) for a fee of $30 which includes a light buffet supper. ... more   less
