Just spent a couple of days at the Kimberly. Had a suite with a separate bedroom. Quite large and perfect if you have a teenager who can sleep on the couch. Service was great... location convenient. My only complaint was the noise late at night with the trash and recycling trucks coming around for pick up.

Dear "DCPRPRO", Thank you so much for sharing your valued opinion with us. We are thrilled to know you enjoyed your Suite, our service and location. Indeed, we deeply regret the schedule of public trash & recycling trucks just as much as you do. While we figure out how to fix this with the City, we promise extra ear plugs...

Have stayed at the Kimberly several times when I am on business in mid-town. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are good sized by NYC standards and the suites are huge. Road noise and the construction across the street is bothersome so definitely request a high floor and on the backside of the hotel. I was on a low...

Unfortunately, my wife and I had just one day to enjoy the Kimberly. A quick business trip made our stay brief but very enjoyable. Great staff, great location and extremely comfortable accommodations. I lost track of the number of times I have stayed at the Kimberly but my last stay was six months ago. Too long a period.

Although we did not spend a lot of time in the room, I found the room to be huge, comfortable, clean, and with a great view. The balcony provided an even better view of the city. The members of the hotel staff were really nice and accommodating. The location to be conveniently situated near diners/restaurants, shopping, Times Square, Theatre District,...

Stayed here with my family in the summer. The rooms are exactly as shown, very clean and elegant, and tastefully decorated. Great bathroom and shower, fab toiletries. Staff were friendly and accommodating. My only reason for not giving full marks is that on our return a $30 charge had been added to our credit card. When enquiring I was told...

Wow, some of these reviewers for NYC are pretty strict. I stay in nice hotels around 60 nights a year, Four Seasons, Mandarin Orient, Ritz Carlton, Marriott properties, etc., and I'm going out of my way to give the Kimberly Hotel a big "attaboy". What a comfortable oasis in the middle of the controlled chaos that is Midtown Manhattan. Place...

I've reviewed this hotel twice before and all the things that make it great have remained the same. Cleanliness, comfort and convenience are top notch, and it delivers great value for money. However, just be aware there is a major building project underway directly opposite the hotel on East 50th (faced by all the suites). They work from dawn to...

First time staying at the Kimberly and check in was a breeze. Very friendly staff and the room is huge by NYC standards. Here for a quick stay and so far loving the accommodations. The bed is super comfortable and love the kitchenette.

Not much to say other than we had a very large room. It was quiet. Room and hotel were clean and well looked after. Staff were friendly. They don't have much of a gym. You need to walk a couple of blocks to a gym if you want a workout.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Kimberly is a traditionally styled, boutique suite hotel located between 3rd & Lexington Avenues. With 30 rooms and 162 suites ranging from 266 to 935 sq ft., we offer personalized service from a warm and caring staff. Most of our suites have balconies, a rarity in NYC and many offer views of the city. Our mattresses are covered with feather beds and decked with Frette linens, which earn comments such as "I didn't want to get up" from our guests. A bonus here, is that in addition to our on-site fitness center, work-out enthusiasts can use any of the NY Heatlth and Racquet Club's 9 locations, including pools and work-out classes at no additional cost and can enjoy a cruise for three hours on their 75 ft yacht (in season) for a fee of $30 which includes a light buffet supper. ... more   less
