A well positioned hotel for a visit to New York, our room was spacious but getting a bit tired, staff were helpful and always pleasant to deal with.A little bit of work in some small upgrades would be great.Overall it was a very pleasant stay and made a good platform to visit the highlights of New York

I visited WOLCOTT HOTEL twice, each time with a few of my friends in January/February for a 3 night stay. Overall I found the hotel very charming and an ideal location. Check in was quick and easy, we were given our keys and directions to our room. As there was five of us we were given a triple room on...

This is a budget friendly hotel in Manhattan. In walking distance to Macy's en Empire State Building. Staff is friendly en helpfull. My room was clean, but kind of old. Bed was very comfortable. I had quite a big room on the back of the building; so street noises where minimal. Wifi is expensive. Nice hotel, would stay here again.

I stayed at the Wolcott hotel with my mom and a friend. The room was big enough to accommodate the three of us comfortably and the hotel provided us with a cot bed. The location was extremely good, with food places across the street, pharmacies close by and walking distance to the Empire State Building. We could also walk to...

My parents unfortunately were recommended to stay here by their travel agent in Australia. I am offering this review on their behalf, however they rated this hotel as one if the worst hotels they have stayed in and they are seasoned travelers. No wi fi, no tea or coffee making facilities, no fridge, insanely small cramped bathroom, small tv and...

It is unfortunate that your parents did not enjoy their stay at the hotel. I am confused about your wi fi and coffee comments because Wolcott does offer paid wifi, and complimentary coffee , tea and muffins each morning in the lobby, plus a fridge can be brought to a room for free, all guest needs to do is ask...

OK so this hotel is in a great location. Subways and bus stations all within a couple of minutes stroll. The room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. I admit, the green wall paper and blue ceiling in our bedroom wasn't a great first impression when I arrived....however, we did leave the room early every morning and only...

This old hotel has an amazing history behind. In the lobby there is a little library where explains everything. We met newyorkers who had chosen that hotel because conveniences. Going to town for an event and stay there. We also met group of students. The hotel is being renovated and that its the reason for a affordable price. Highly recomended

First off--the location is great!! And, for a midtown Manhattan hotel, the rooms are large. Two people can walk around without tripping over each other or luggage. Complaints about it being "out-dated" fascinate me. It's a classic beauty built in the early 1900s not a chain whose rooms look the same no matter where you are! The beds are great;...

We stayed 5 nights (Easter Week-end) at the Wolcott Hotel. The Hotel is perfectly situated one block away from the Empire State building. Time Square, The Madison Square Garden, Rockefeller Center are easily reachable by walking about 15 Minutes. Add 15 more minutes and you reach Central Park. Basically all of Manhattan is easily reachable on foot. The Hotel is...

Stayed 4 nights at the Wolcott Hotel after Ramada Eastside gave away our room before we arrived. Thank you Wolcott Hotel for taking us in with no reservation at 2AM! This was my first visit to NYC and I have no experience to use as a comparison. We got a room with 3 twin beds, with a 4th bed added...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
