Very nicely located in upper Midtown, one street away from NYC's Central Park, and nestled between 5th and 6th Avenue, a short walk to some of NYC's best shopping. Considering that Time Squares is at 42 and Broadway, the hotel is also at a short and pleasant 15-20 mn walking distance from all that Broadway and Times Square have to...

We stayed at here for 10 days in July/Aug of 2014. Starting with the concierge, this hotel is impressive. Our room was roomy and had plenty of space for the accumulation of bags throughout our stay. The rooms are spotless. Housekeeping are excellent, it should be noted that housekeeping only service your room every three days. There is the option...

We stayed at aka Central Park for 10 days in January, we spent a long time reading reviews of the nearby hotels and this seemed a good balance of price and location. The first thing to say is the location is brilliant, a 2 minute walk from Central Park in one direction and Times Square a 20 minute walk the...

The AKA Central Park is the perfect place to stay when you travel to New York as a tourist.I would not recommend it for business travellers as there is no reception to book any tables. In the appartements you have really a lot of space, even a small kitchen, bathroom, living/dining room and of course the bed room. All is...

Thank you for your comments about AKA Central Park. We do pride ourselves as being able to accommodate residents for stays of 7 nights or longer to the business person looking for more space than a hotel but offering the services as well. I saw the comment " I would not recommend it for business travelers as there is no...

Clean. Well, it's 5-stars! For some reason they push themselves as something of a "residence" – a place where you can make your own meals. Not so. The only feature that makes it different from any other hotel is a microwave oven. Well, I suppose one can cook with it... Location is, of course, excellent. But overpriced for all that....

The fireplace @ their lounge is the best part of a busy day in NYC. The staff is always very friendly, and the rooms are great. Loved staying here! Price is a little over, but free wifi, free amazon deliveries (for foreigners this is a plus), the best lounge ever, great fitness place too!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
