We’ve recently returned from a 5 night stay. We felt the staff could have been a little more attentive for the quality/rating and cost of the hotel however no real problems. We found the staff to be quite rude on check out which has promoted this comment, especially when it’s your last encounter. Unfortunately I didn’t get the ladies name but the young lady who works on the front desk was really helpful and attentive. Really spacious rooms with the most comfortable beds! Slept a dream. The room was kept clean with a nighttime downturn service also. Despite being in such a busy area we heard no noise at all in the hotel and room. Both bars offer a good choice of drinks, they are on the more expensive side but this is to be expected. We did not eat at the hotel. Pleasant stay overall.…
Recently, my husband and I spent a long weekend in NYC. We had the VERY good fortune to stay at the Knickerbocker. It is now the only place I want to stay in Manhattan. The hotel is elegant and understated. The staff clearly understands how to make clients feel that they are the most important part of their business. A special mention to Lucy, who remembered talking with me prior to our arrival and to Joseph who was so friendly and attentive. Just two members of the staff that made me feel more than special.
We were here for a conference and would have never found this hotel otherwise. We really enjoyed the location and the hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back and will recommend this hotel.
I stayed at the hotel about 3 weeks and will not go into all the details of how bad my stay was..but I contacted them on IG to state how bad it was and they said they would contact me back...never heard a word. Another words they do not care and their customer lack of service is terribile..if you want service do not stay here, if you want a bathroom where things are not full of mold and not taped to together do not stay here. if you want help with your bags so not stay here. If you want more than one elevator working do not stay here. if you want a clean and not stained hangar do not stay here. if you want any information about the hotel when checking in do not stay here..
This hotel is great. The price was on the lower side for a 5-star hotel in NYC. Every person we encountered was very kind and help. And the room was phenomenal - modern and the decor is sparse (on purpose), depending more on clean lines and lighting for a beautiful and welcoming experience. Sheets, comforters, pillows, towels were all high quality and the shower was top-notch, which is crucial in a city where you walk a lot. Location is perfect for sightseeing. For sure would stay again.
We stayed at this lovely hotel at the very beginning of November, for four nights. We arrived in the evening and were greeted warmly by staff, who informed us we’d been given an upgrade and this meant that we had a view over Times Square. The room was clean and spacious and though we were overlooking a really busy street, we were able to sleep really well and were not disturbed at all. Housekeeping was excellent and really attentive, turning down the beds at night and checking to see if everything was ok. We found all staff really polite and helpful throughout our stay. This continued after our departure: our son had left two expensive items in the room and as soon as I alerted the hotel to this, their communication was excellent. They arranged for the items to be shipped internationally and they were back with us within a week. This is an excellent hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we return to New York. …
We’re still here, room 516, and checking out tomorrow morning, 11/26. Overall, the hotel is great, however, our biggest problem is that this is the first hotel ever where we’ve had no ice buckets in the rooms, or ice machines anywhere in the hotel. Even the Venetian in Vegas had ice buckets and ice machines in every floor. I understand the lack of coffee makers and microwaves inside the rooms, because they want you to spend money at the hotel’s restaurants, but for God’s sake, what if you get up at 2 AM with the urge of having a cold glass of water? Do you call room service and spend $6 plus tip on a bottle of water, and stay up for 30 minutes waiting for it to get delivered? It just doesn’t make any sense! On a positive note, Juan and Ricardo at the Charlie Palmer Bar on the 4th floor are the BEST! These two guys are very professional, personable, friendly, and funny! Without these two there, that Bar would never be the same! …
The location makes it easy to go uptown or downtown. Our check-in was easy. Our room was stylish and comfortable. The Knickerbocker pays attention to details that make your stay that much nicer. I would definitely stay there again.
My stay was wonderful. The personnel were professional and kind. The rooftop bar was amazing! The location is a short walk to so many places. We will definitely stay there next time we’re in Manhattan!
Always staff were very accommodating when we needed anything at all. Upgraded our room since it was our wedding anniversary. In room dining were very quickly to respond when we requested ice, coffee, wine etc. Maid service was very thorough.
