The Residence Inn by Marriott New York Downtown Manhattan/World Trade Center Area impresses with its recent renovations and spacious rooms that offer stunning views, as guests have enthusiastically noted. The hotel's atmosphere and swift attention to concerns earn rave reviews, as does the hearty breakfast and prime location. While the rooms receive mixed feedback regarding size and upkeep, cleanliness is consistently praised, particularly the well-maintained kitchens. Service is another highlight, with staff members earning accolades for their friendly and helpful nature. However, some guests debate the value, citing additional fees, and note the area's quietness at night.

I've stayed at this location multiple times in the past year and have never had a bad experience. Every time I check in the staff are super friendly and provide amazing service.

Since I frequent this location, many of the front staff members recognize me and started addressing me by name. (Shout out to Jane, Jessica, YB, Ricky, and Heidy) Thanks to the staff, I'm always provided early check in and rooms on high floors. The staff periodically check in on you to see how your stay is and are always happy to help.

The King Studios are nicely sized and decorated with a modern touch. The beds are super comfy and big. The rooms are clean and all rooms come with a TV, full size fridge, microwave, kitchen utensils, and a dishwasher. Some rooms have an electric stove (Whole Foods is half a mile away if you want to cook). Perfect for when you want to stay in for the day.

I'll be back in the coming months and am looking forward to my next stay.

I chose this hotel based on the very reasonable rates around the holiday season and the laundry facilities on site. I actually didn’t end up using the laundry but very glad I stayed here.

The room was quiet at night as this area doesn’t have a ton of traffic at night. The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. The location provides access to a fair amount of food options in the area. Eataly is nearby if you want to stock the fridge!

I am actually a local who recently moved away but back in town visiting so I can give it my NYC stamp of approval.

Stayed for 5 nights in a studio with two double beds.

Our room was very spacious and had a small kitchen with full fridge, dishwasher and microwave - very handy since NYC restaurants are closed for indoor dining. Lots of storage space and a big desk.

Staff were attentive at all times, there are vending machines in the lobby for snacks/drinks and a free laundry room.

Location is good, a few steps away from Oculus and access to multiple subway lines (although we didn't use them bc of Covid).

The hotel doesn't say much from the outside and the Lobby is located in the first floor, entrance is through a small street called Maiden Ln. Overall, I think it was good value for what we paid and we felt safe. Good choice for families looking for a bigger room with kitchen area or longer stays.

Spent a weekend here with family. This hotel feels nothing like your typical suburban Residence Inn. It's made for Manhattan with chic urban styling throughout.
Location: Outstanding. It's a block south of Fulton Center with the Fulton Street subway hub and many available subway lines going every which direction. Even with weekend subway disruptions you'll still find a convenient way to get wherever you need. Fulton Center is also connected underground to The Oculus and Brookfield Place with tons of indoor shops and dining options if the weather is bad. If exploring Lower Manhattan by foot, there are so many attractions within a 15min walking radius such as WTC, Wall Street, Battery Park, Pier 17, Brooklyn Bridge, and even the lower end of Chinatown if you walk briskly. I felt safe immediately around the hotel, even at night.
Service: Check-in was very friendly. Maid was very attentive, noticed when we exited our rooms for the day and made sure to ask for our room number so she could get started with housekeeping.
Room: We requested a higher floor during reservation and got the 16th floor (I believe there are 18 in total?). Three elevators here, all working well, some of the fastest I've seen in Manhattan hotels, never had issues with long wait or overcrowding despite a busy weekend. Room was very quiet with hardly any street noise, very clean with well functioning heat & AC. Loved the full size fridge, and small kitchenette with microwave. Beds are comfortable. The room itself is quite spacious for Manhattan standards too, and the high ceilings are a great touch.
Breakfast: There's a typical Marriott free buffet breakfast here but I never woke up in time to get it. Also after 10am they reprogram the coffee machines so even though it's free during breakfast, you have to pay for lobby coffee - never saw this before at a Residence Inn!
I have no complaints. I would absolutely stay here again if I had the chance and the price is good.

I live locally in Brooklyn and came back from a Florida vacation only to find out the massive renovations my sister started on our house were way behind schedule, and there was no power or water. I was pretty desperate for a decent place to stay for a few days, preferably close to work since we have come back to the office, and remembered this Residence Inn I pass daily on my way to work every day. It was a great decision in every respect! The King studio I was in was quiet, clean, and well appointed with a decent little kitchenette. Covid procedures were excellent, free breakfast was prepackaged and everything felt safe.

And when what I thought would be a couple of nights turned into a couple of weeks, the staff was extremely accommodating and took care of all my needs. Ricky, Aya, the really sweet Russian lady whose name I didn’t get (sorry!) and the rest of the team were incredible. Housekeeping was on point, and everyone was very friendly. I definitely recommend staying here, on top of all the great service, the price was right and the location can’t be beat, convenient to shops and dining at the WTC and Seaport as well as a dizzying array of transit options. This hotel is a hidden gem made even better by the staff! You guys saved my life!

We booked 2 nights in Times Square and 1 night at the Residence Inn Downtown Manhattan on our last night in order to see The World Trade Center exhibits. I wish we had stayed here the entire time. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. After getting back home, I ordered the exact same blow dryer and the shampoo off of Amazon that was in our hotel room. The kitchenette, which included pots, pans, dishes, silverware, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker with coffee, was a bonus for keeping our drinks cold and having a real coffee cup for our hot drinks. We were right across from the elevator but never heard any sounds after hours. The restaurant across the street was recommended to us by the hotel staff and it was excellent. This hotel was also a short walk to the World Trade Center exhibits. The next time I'm in New York this is where I'm staying the entire time. I was truly impressed!

The first time we stayed here was actually our wedding night last June. We loved it so much that we try to stay once or twice every month after that. The rooms and views are really nice but the real star are the staff!! Jessica is always very helpful and try to accommodate our request for a specific room that we like whenever available and simple things like that just keeps us coming back. The 24/7 concierge may I say is one of the few best ones that we experienced. Just shoot a text when you need something and everyone is ready to deliver. Jessica and Ricky are top notch! Can’t wait to stay again soon! -Butler-Turners

We are currently here as I recover from surgery. The entire hotel is spotless, from the room to the public spaces. Staff are following all COVID-19 regulations with masks, gloves, and sanitizing stations at every elevator. The entire staff here is wonderful and very guest-oriented. A special thank you to Max at the front door for his smile and help; Ricky at the front desk for always being there with a suggestion; and especially John Stefanides, who has made the very imperfect situation of surgery during COVID as comfortable for me as humanly possible.

During my stay at this location during the current crisis I experienced the most professional staff. Accommodations included...
The housekeeping staff are dedicated and Ms. Daniella took great care that no detail was missed. She's awesome! Daniella even explained the cleaning process and frequency (Don't lose this lady). There are others that are doing a great job, couldn't name them all.
The management is really in touch and Ms. Annabelle checked me in. She is all sunshine and all business in one. Ricky is a dynamo, Peter just walks around looking good (just kidding), and never fails to make a connection and the GUY'S on staff to security, whose names I don't know thanks for going beyond the call of duty.

This is a great team. Thanks to all of you for making my stay a pleasant one!!!

Generally, I enjoy Marriott hotels. I’ve been here, before, too, and have raved about this place. As we arrived, the gentleman watching the door, was on his phone, and took a few seconds to open the front door.
During Covid, there is no breakfast, not even coffee to take back to your room. Though there are coffee makers in each room—the coffee is weak and not really replaced well. Additionally, we bought food at Eataly, and used the dishes, but there was no soap or sponges to clean dishes. Even the dishwasher detergent was not replaced. A little disappointing for a veteran of Residence hotels.
Frankly this was an escape for us from my parents, with whom we are living in a careful pod—this was our relaxing getaway. Again, while I appreciate Marriott brands, and normally this location, I was slightly disappointed.

Since breakfast is already included, I used it to buy things like ice cream, frozen dinners to cook in the room and soda. To me it is just an excuse to spend money in the hotel.
