We visited Manhattan in early March just as the storm was due to hit the city. We flew into JFK and had booked a room in City Rooms, we caught a yellow taxi which took us for a flat fare of $52 from the airport into Manhattan well worth the money. We arrived at 7pm and the sun had already...

This hotel is really good, thoose Bangladesh people really knows his work. They help you in everything, information, print tickets if you need, etc. They have coffee and chocolate free every time. City Rooms Soho have nice graphics details in walls and reception that really lets me feel in New York. Good and warm rooms, a desk to work and...

Very well located, near the subway and at a walking distance from the main attractions in Manhattan. The room was not very big but was very cosy and perfect for this trip purpose. A special word for the staff who was very friendly and helpful all the time. NEGATIVE: The traffic noise all day and night. But hey, it's New...

The room itself was a tight fit for two people with suitcases but being our first trip to NYC we dealt with it with minimal complaining! Great location, metro access just around the corner with convenience stores and restaurants all around. The staff were helpful when needed but in this price range service we didn't expect much. Overall a great...

I cannot say enough about how amazing the staff was during our stay! The manager, Ahmed, was so so so helpful and accommodating! The location is great as there is a subway stop right next to the hotel, but because of this, the train can be noisy. I am a deep sleeper so I never noticed. The room was clean...

We stayed here for 5 days in August and had the best time. City Rooms is Basic, but is perfect for a city stay. The beds are comfortable, the team is fantastic, the Location is perfect, and the coffee in the Lobby is Perfect. If you are looking for No Frills this is the place to stay!

The staff is really great and friendly! Very helpfull to sort out all kinds of stuff. The rooms have a nice urban industrial feel. Are comfortable but not considered luxury I guess. Very close to metro station in different directions Beds are comfortable, noise of the streets didn't bother us.

All staff we met during our stay were helpful and welcoming. The twin room we booked was a good size however we had to live out our suitcases as there isn't much storage space - only a small rail. The room came with earplugs which were needed as the noise from the traffic outside made it difficult to sleep. Good...

We have stayed at a lot of places in NYC and this was the best so far. Modern, clean, roomy room, wonderful staff and great location. We will definitely be staying there again on our next visit. Also, being so close to Chinatown and Little Italy are worth a mention, so much to see and do!

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
