The hostel / apartment is in a great location, only a few blocks from Times Square! Meeting to get the keys was a little confusing as the office is located in a different street to where you stay. No elevator so prepare to climb up three flights of stairs. Small basic room with en-suite which is all we needed! The...

I booked this place for the location. You can not get anything for this price this close to Times Square. We stayed in the private room with the ensuite. I will start with the worst thing: the bed in this room seriously needs to be upgraded. It was the squeakiest bed I have ever "slept" in. And I say "slept"...

Stayed here for four nights in early September, and as two students from London on a quick trip to NYC, we didn't want to spend a great deal of money on the hotel (where you don't really spend much time anyway!).I had stayed at a other hotels in NY before (UN Millennium Plaza, Helmsley and the Muse) and having never...

Me and my boyfriend rented a private room at the Times Square Dream Hostel for a weeks stay in NY. The room wasn't massive, but we had an en suite which was perfect for us. You get what you pay for, but the location was amazing and the price was so much cheaper than we could find anywhere else. Yes...

It's true, you are not! So why spend loads of money on a room you'll only use to sleep in and have a shower?! This place was great. We timed it - just over 4 mins walk to Times Square. It's on 9th Avenue - bustling and full of great resturants and bars, but it is NOT at the address...

Mice ate some of the gifts we had bought. I spotted a mouse in our room on return from a night out. On inspection of our belongings it had climbed into our bags and ate through packets to chew on some gifts we had bought. It is clear there is a rodent problem in the building as there were notices...

The neighbourhood is really noisy, even the beds are noisy... And it is not even a hostel. But who cares about that when you have a clean room in such a fantastic location? Only blocks away from the famous Times Square, and within walking distance of all the mayor landmarks. If you just need a place to rest at night...

Stayed one night here and found it to be not somewhere I'd either recommend or rush back to either. Staff on reception were not at all welcoming. What did I expect I don't know but could be done a lot better , with better facilities for guests and training for reception staff. Only plus is the very central location.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
