The room was so small and boxed in with no windows. and the bathroom was shared. But it was ideal for me as I was leaving early in the morning. Luckily I was only on the ground floor. The staff were really friendly. I got clean sheets and some toiletries when i got there.

This is the worst hotel I have ever seen. Sticky floors, windows like in prison. There are no curtains on windows because windows are so dirty so you don't even need them. Bars on the window and iron bed give a feeling of being in a mental hospital. Also we found someone else's hair in bed. It is so dirty... More

As a 2 star hotel we were not expecting much but at least to be clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we were seriously disappointed on both counts. The rooms are more like prison cells with peeling paint and wallpaper and really dingy. We asked for a better room and were put in an identical one but with just the sink in... More

This hotel was allocated to us through a British Airways package. After being dropped off outside, our initial thoughts were "Uh Oh". Entered wallked up some dodgy stairs into the reception room, pretty shabby looking, checked in and went to the room. All i can say is it looked like a prison cell, we asked for another room, they gave... More

My wife and I just looked for a place to stay for one night waiting for our next day flight. Coming from a four-star Sheraton it was quite a shift - but hey. You get what you pay for, and in that respect it was as you would expect. Small and hard bed but not too bad. Tiny room, but... More

I booked room for 38 dollars. The price is fantastic, but I could never believe how poor condition it was. There are at least 5 Floors, no elevator. I did not check higher then 5th floor and I have noticed that there are different qualities of the rooms on each floor. There are shared bathrooms with shower. The staff was friendly... More

i stayed at the sunbright for 6 nights in oct. 2016. there are no proper rooms, but rather cells in a large hall you will sleep in (there's a gap between walls and ceiling). the rooms are tiny - about 1.2m x 2.5m - and you hardly can move. however, the worst is that they have bed bugs. a room... We stayed here as it was half the price of any other accommodation in New York at the time. It is true that you 'get what your pay for'. It was dirty and unhygienic, I took to wearing shoes all the time and made sure my belongings did not touch the floor. Also saw a cockroach on our last night... More

We wanted to save money so booked into Sun Bright and had lowered our expectations knowing it was going to be great...but this was the worst place we'd ever stayed at. The bed frame was broken; the mattress had springs that pressed into you and was extremely noisy if you made the slightest movement. Blood stain on the sheets. Dirty... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
