As a group of 30 students and three staff, we were keen to find somewhere to start in NYC that was affordable with out being too far away from the main attractions. Lord and Moris was perfect for this. The rooms were basic, but larger than we expected. The staff were incredibly helpful and quick to answer questions or resolve problems. The location was great for Times Square, and the subway was accessible. The area quiet (for Manhatten!), and offered a variety of basic food outlets. If you are looking for glamour and style, then this is not your place. But if you want to find somewhere that is reasonably priced, clean, with helpful staff, then Lord and Moris is great. Our students and staff loved it, and the beds were super comfortable.

The location of this hotel for the price us really amazing! You can walk out of the door and you are practically in times square. Beds are comfortable, you can get coffee between set hours and staff were really accommodating. Reading the reviews I expected there to be a big problem with space but there really wasn't. The toilet door and the entrance are close but it's really not a problem because nobody is going to want to use the toilet with their hotel door open! Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Was perfect for us!

First, our arrival at the hotel was quite comfortable and easy. But as soon as we entered the room, we were disappointed. The room was extremely small for us. Room 101 has a problem, absolutely everything that happens in the lobby is heard. The bed where I slept the head was broken, the hair dryer didn't work, I hope they didn't charge it to me. The price of the night should adjust it, is somewhat excessive. Now, apart from the bad of the hotel, the good must be highlighted. The room was cleaned every day, towels were changed daily and ours beds were fixed daily. I must applaud that. The hotel is quite central to the different tourist areas. The employees were very attentive and cordial. In itself we had a good time I can recommend the hotel if the person who is staying will not be in the room all the time. But I do recommend the hotel management to improve the things I just wrote.

Stayed in Dec for a week, on arrival we were given the wrong room , smaller than what we booked. Asked at reception and were told “call booking.com and take it up with them” The room was quite small , but it was okay as we were not going to be spending time in it. Not once was the room cleaned, or bed dressed or changed. Had to ask every day for clean towels and to have bin emptied. On check out I was over charged by $500 ! As we had plenty of time I was able to hang around until it was sorted , but I wasn’t able to get a receipt for the charge, this could only be emailed to me for some reason , strange ! When we booked we were told it included all charges, on check in we were asked for another security deposit, it’s either final price or not surly ! On the good side, excellent location , if you just want a basic room , it’s a good choice. But if we stayed again I’d ask for confirmation of charge on arrival.
