Visited NYC with my wife on short notice over late winter weekend. We reserved a suite at The Bowery and were upgraded to a one bedroom. The room was beautiful, large and well-appointed with a spacious outdoor terrace. The public spaces in the hotel are alluring and creative. The staff was welcoming and attentive. We found this to be a...

A blissful 5 day stay at the Bowery in New York. I have to say finding a hotel in NYC is becoming more and more stressful, I always feel Manhattan hotels are overpriced, with impersonal service. I often seem to find myself dissatisfied for paying an extortionate rate for a glorified wardrobe in an ostentatious property.....but alas, the Bowery has...

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and were very happy. It has a lovely entry area and bar. Seats are reserved for hotel guests. As the bar is very hip, there is always a lot going on and external guests are visiting. A little strange is that the external guests try to get a seat at the tables...

I love this hotel so much. I've stayed at cool places all around the world, but The Bowery might be my absolute favorite. The location is fantastic, the decor and the vibe are on point, and the service is amazing. Everything about this hotel in impeccable. When in Manhattan I'll always stay here.

We are staying in the Bowery for 6 nights, travelling from Europe for our honeymoon. The staff of the hotel from the moment we checked in tried their very best to make it memorable: complimentary bottle of champagne in one of the best rooms of the hotel. Corner room with too massive windows giving fantastic views of the city. Really...

This is a super cool hotel at a really great location. The rooms are very comfortable and the little teddy bear on the bed is such a cute little touch. I would definitely recommend grabbing a meal at Gemma during your stay, and definitely hanging out at the lobby as well - you'll probably end up spotting a few celebrities...

This is a beautiful hotel with a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. Perfect location to access mid town and downtown. Room was fantastic with views across to Empire State and Chrysler Building. Bed was extremely comfortable. Rico and Richard looked after us in the lounge with very tasty martinis. We will stay here again.

Great service. Very welcoming. I love hotels with turn down service and cookies! My room was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. Nice view, warm and quiet. Location is excellent if you want to be in the east village and go shopping in Soho. Easy cab ride uptown and to the airport. I'll be back!

What a fantastic boutique hotel. Just a lovely place with so many special touches - everywhere. The staff from the front door all way through to the back of the house - are very professional and helpful. We loved our stay. Our room was so comfortable. Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
