If you do not mind to have basic comfort, and share the bathroom with others, this is a good option for you. You will not find a better deal. One block away from Union Square and subway. Clean bed for a reasonable price.

The only thing good about this hotel is the location. Everything else is very basic. The staff is extremely unfriendly, borderline rude. The lobby area is nice, the rooms are small and not cleaned regularly. You will find trash and used towels left by previous guests.

Dear Lis1012, Thank you for staying at Seafarers International House. We want to thank you for your kind words about our location and our lobby area. I would like to apologize on behalf of Seafarers in regards to your thoughts about our unkind staff. No guest should be made to feel this way! We are constantly improving and training our...

This hotel is good if you are merely looking for a bed doing your stay in NY. It has a lot of restaurants and close to the subway. The rooms are small but can faciltitate a an extra bed so there is enough room for two single beds.

Very clean, bathroom across the hall, Esther ( who had beautiful curls ) was a wonderful and friendly person that checked me in. Great location, near Union Square and 1 blk down from the subway. I had a twin bed with a flat screen TV, sink in the room, quiet, AC worked fine ( had it on low ), was...

This is a very basic hotel, but clean and bug free. Very reasonably priced. Many rooms have a shared bathroom but I had booked a room with a private one. The location is great, close to the subway with many restaurants and bars nearby. New York can be very expensive when it comes to hotels so for those on a...

I had 30 bites from bed bugs after staying a week at this hotel in September 2016. The Manager also confirmed that they had found bed bugs in my bed after I left. I don't recommend anyone staying at this hotel. I was sick for a week from the bites and had to go through all my stuff when I...

Good Afternoon Annika, We are sorry to hear about your experience at Seafarers International House. We responded to your complaint by bringing in an exterminator who determined that there was no infestation and that the bites must have come from a bug within your travels. We refunded 50% of your stay even with the determination that Seafarers was not the...

Warm welcome on checking in. Good sized room for the price. Being so handy to Union Square transport was close at hand. Barnes and Noble Store very close and what a store. Ideal for somewhere to sleep between seeing the city that never sleeps. Wifi only available in the lounge or ground floor.

Seafarers & International House is basic accommodation in a great location - perfect for sightseeing in NYC, where you really just want a safe, clean, inexpensive place to sleep at night. We had a family room which consisted of a room with 2 beds and a bathroom, connected to a single room. Both rooms had air conditioning and TVs. Very...
