Stayed here for three nights in a mixed room, which was a perfect size and cleaned everyday and fresh towels and bedding. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. The hotel itself is really beautiful and is in a perfect location. Two subway stations really close to the hotel and loads of great shops around for anything you need....

This hotel was the first we stayed in during our road trip through the states and it was perfect for us in terms of location, cost and experience. We have two double beds in the room and a free continental breakfast with our stay, which was refreshing and a perfect way of starting each day in the city. I would...

For a very reasonable budget this great little hotel is hard to beat. My friend and I don't want Big Hotel chain experiences...The Blue Moon was charming, friendly and located close to Little Italy, walking distance to subway and had a neighbourhood feel. I felt like a local. The Tommy Dorcy suite was funky and not over the top. Comfy...

A great hotel at a great price in a fun location, at the edges of Chinatown and Little Italy. This was my third stay here and I am always satisfied. I choose the shared room; there are four single beds and a nice bathroom, good hot water, plus a refrigerator and a hot water kettle in the room. There is...

I booked this hotel for a trip to New York in November through Expedia on a fully cancellable rate. The hotel withdrew the charge for a nights accommodation as a deposit from my credit within a few days of booking. After changing our trip plans, 2 weeks later I cancelled our booking all within the terms and conditions of the...

I had booked and rebooked a few times because I never got a confirmation. Turned out my booking was cancelled. After quite some time on the phone, they said my cancellation was probably because of my credit card. This was through hotels.com. It was NOT my credit card. I was calling from a restaurant that had just taken my card....

Blue moon is a small hotel at the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge. We stayed there with our family at the start of our trip in America. We enjoyed our stay. We had a large room where all of us (3 adults, 3 kids) had their own space. The room was clean, but unfortunately the terrace wasn't. Downstairs in the...

This charming hotel is worth considering as an alternative to the large bland hotel chains. My son and I spent a week in NYC and loved this hotel. It seems not many hotels provide twin beds, we were given two comfortable queen beds, complete with wire bed head in the theme of the hotel. Although somewhat noisy (second floor facing...

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
