The hotel is undergoing some renovation and I hope it addresses many issues. It is an historic brick building, very nice look. But the windows don't close properly so you hear the noise from the street, same goes for the inside doors or connecting room doors. The elevators are old and very noisy. The rooms are large enough for NY...

We stayed here for the weekend and found the hotel to be in an excellent location and a great value. The rooms are small but adequate and clean. The service throughout the stay was very good especially at check in with Raymond who was very courteous and pleasant. The gym is in great condition and also decent equipment and clean...

I don't even know where to start from because there are so many bad things about this hotel, so let me make a list: 1- the queen size bed is NOT a queen size bed, it is a full size bed, and it is not a comfortable bed. The sheets were completely wrinkled. If you want to sleep don't stay...

Things I didn't like about the room...very limited counter space in the bathroom. Single sink. No full length mirror or even half mirror, the only mirror in the room was above the bathroom sink. No dresser or drawers to put clothes in. There were 2 closets with hangers. And there is enough space for a dresser, or to turn one...

Ok so the hotel is under construction so the lobby situation is bad. I'll give them a pass on that. The restaurant and bar area has no AC blowing and is approximately 146 degrees in the muggy NYC heat this week... I'll blame that on the construction. The elevators being basically dysfunctional and requiring an extra 5-10 minutes to get...

The staff and location of this hotel more than makes up for the strange dated little rooms. I was initially taken aback by the room but as I was not spending much time in it it did not matter. My husband was in hospital and they were very accommodating about the length of my stay. I was there over Christmas...

I am a Marriott Elite Member so I was excited to experience this property. When I looked at the pictures on the website, I saw large freshly renovated rooms with lots of light. However, when I returned, it was just the opposite. Attached are pictures of the room they gave me. The room was dank, dark, and the size of...

This hotel sits nicely in the midst of NY's upscale boutique shopping district and near Central Park. It is a converted space with nice artistic touches throughout. You would hardly recognize it as a Marriott property. It more has the feel of a boutique hotel sans the manager's happy hour. The place has a nice lounge that serves cocktails and...

This place is dark and dingy. The hotel has one valet for the whole place. The elevators are not much larger than a coffin and will take your arm off if you're not careful. There isn't even room to walk around the beds in a supposed "oversized executive" room. I seriously can't wait to get out of here. The worst...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
