Absolutely loved staying here! Such a quirky place. 4 rooms, 2 per floor, crazy jazz vibe, collectible ornaments and creative decorating. Neat location close to tasty restaurants and shops. Close walk to the metro.

This is a nice place to stay! It's very small, but clean and comfortable. The owner is very nice and helpful! The location is only a few minutes from the metro and there are nice locations around. It's a perfect bugdet place, but the next time we would love to come back, but we would take the bigger place for...

I recently stayed for a week at the wonderful Harlem Flophouse. I chose the Flophouse because I wanted a place with soul and character - and I wasn't disappointed. The premises are well-located close to 125th Street and a subway station., My room was large, with timber flooring and tastefully decorated with period pieces. Soft jazz wafts from a radio...

Harlem Flophouse is not the bland experience of going to most, especially chain, hotels. It has a lot of personality. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Can't imagine a better price existing in Manhattan.

I really enjoyed our recent stay here! The place oozes character and charm, rooms are spacious and the Flophouse is well located being 3 min walk to the main drag. I would say that this place is suited to self directed travellers (which was fine with me). Our host was there to welcome us and show us around and was...

Hey guys! We just came back from a wonderful stay at The Harlem Flophouse! It's everything you need for a perfect stay in NYC. Having stayed and worked in NYC several times I'm not a big Time Square guy. And this Inn is the perfect place to calm down after a long day of crowded streets and hot subways. The...

My wife and I stayed at the Flophouse in October 2013 and it was brilliant - clean, comfortable, convenient, full of character, and affordable. Everything we were looking for in New York, and more. The neighbourhood is great (DON'T listen to anyone who is worried about this - we never felt at all concerned in Harlem) and it's super close...

My only hesitation in giving the highest possible recommendation to the Flophouse is that there are so few rooms, it's now more likely that there won't be a vacancy when I wish to return. My wife, daughter and I love it here - great atmosphere - just so much more real than the cookie-cutter hotels, and much better value, too....

Stayed here in 2004 for a birthday/anniversary trip in 2004. Staying at Rene's place was very cool. Trues there were some lad doing renovation down stairs but hey, this is New York, This is Harlem - this is what I want. I have stayed in plenty of hotels, and this way better. Awsome place and I know that the flop...

I will stay here again! I found the hotel to be so welcoming, with antique furniture and cozy living spaces. Guests not only have the comfort of their spacious rooms, but the use of a lovely entry and living room space. My bed was quite comfortable and I slept well as it was quiet and cozy in my room. There...
