I had one night in the city and the Highline was the perfect place to spend it. The concierge arranged theatre tickets, dinner reservations and loaned me a charger for my iPhone. The Intelligensia coffee on arrival and departure was perfection. The nearby shops and park are both worthy of exploration. Thanks for making my stay memorable. I will be...

The High Line Hotel has a lot going for it: Great location, not the least for an art buff, an interesting historic building and spacious rooms. Regarding the latter it was rather odd though, that there was no wardrobe in our room - only a clothes hanger in the bathroom. The lobby/espresso bar serves excellent coffee, BUT it is constantly...

My husband and I stayed at The High Line hotel for 10 days and we could have felt more at home. From the beautiful rooms, the happening terrace, helpful staff and fabulous coffee, this hotel is a must stay. Being a lover of all things vintage, I am so glad they have preserved the convert and kept the beautiful old...

This hotel is a former dormitory for the Episcopalian theological seminary, which apparently is still operating next door, but I hear is about to close (according to the locals). The hallways are narrow, the elevator is an old classic Otis, and the decor of the hotel appears to be inspired by the play "Sleep No More" playing a few blocks...

It begins with a fabulous old seminary converted to modern hotel. The service was spot on and the lobby is also a coffee shop/evening bar. The hallway is narrow but leads to a very oversized New York room. A decorative fireplace with leather stools, a few reading selections and puzzles on the mantle. The corner room had six working windows...

I chose this hotel because it was the closest to where my client meeting was, and I could not have been more pleased with my stay. The check in staff meet you face to face in a small, quaint, lobby which smells of the most amazing coffee! In <1 minute after showing my ID and credit card, I was off...

ok I've stayed in a lot of places for business and this gem of a hotel in NY was so lovely. Here is what I loved: the service - perfect, décor perfect, puppy friendly, good coffee, I had a croissant it was delicious.... can't say enough about the concierge & front service other than it was perfect.

If you prefer vintage charm over sleek modern or posh uptown hotels, try The High Line Hotel in Chelsea. This is my favorite hotel in the city to date. The taxi deposited me at the curb in a rain shower, and before I could blink, their bellman had an umbrella over my head and my bag in tow. Very welcoming...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.

“Be forewarned that Wed. middle-of-the-night city garbage truck activity outside can be noisy (not the hotel's fault).”

“We were in a room on the first floor that shared a wall with the lobby. I was initially put off by the notice I could hear from the busy lobby coffee bar that changes to wine bar at night. However, all that closed down at 11pm and it was perfectly quiet overnight. Couldn't hear the street either as it was in the garden side. Recommend #16 if you can't get upper level that doesn't face 10th Ave. ”
