This hotel caters to the tourists visiting New York. While located near decent restaurants, the free breakfast room is jammed with families, it is time consuming to get an elevator (when they are both working) and the fitness center leaves much to be desired. Up until the most critical part of my trip, the service was average. The day before...

I stayed for three nights recently and it's a great location, and decent pricing. But the real win was how quiet things were - not sure if I just had neighbours who weren't in their rooms often (aside from one night when shrieking children were hushed by a knock on a door and a polite request). The room I was...

This hotel is a little overpriced. It is clean and the staff really makes the effort to help you. It is very well located, just one block north from the Empire State Building. I saw some flaws though: Bedroom is small; bathroom is super small. I had to call them and remind them that I. wanted my room cleaned (it...

It is located in a great place, at a short walk to everything central in New York City. The rooms were very small (standard for NYC) but clean and had everything necessary. The beds were comfortable. Never had a chance to try the breakfast.

We stayed here for 4 nights over Easter weekend. We had a few problems while staying and left with a bad taste in our mouths. The rooms were small. I've never been to NYC so this might be the norm. The beds are just too small for 2 people to sleep comfortably. But I did know they were full size...

Dear jmedrew, I am very disappointed and disheartened in the way our staff treated you and handled the issues you experienced. Your experience is the opposite of what we thrive to achieve at our hotel. I will immediately address these items with our staff. Should you feel inclined to discuss further, please send me an email at gm@express36th.com and we...

Good location, decent breakfast. Room was a decent size and had an awesome view of the Empire State Building. The bed was comfy and was happy we could control the heat nicely. The room door needs the mechanism replaced as it sometimes took us 5-6 card swipes to get it to unlock. (annoying). The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Good location and short walk to subway. Small rooms and bathroom very tired and water pressure very poor so shower not good. Reception staff rarely spoke or acknowledged you even after staying 6 nights and never asked how stay was on check-out. Breakfast had a very good choice and staff there much more friendly .

We stayed here for a band trip just this week. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the people working at the breakfast buffet. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
