My and my girlfriend came and stayed at The Pod for a week as our first holiday away together. On our arrival we were met by smiles and lovely staff who made checking in no problem at all, and we had the same all the way through our stay. The hotel has a brillint location, with most of the well... More

POD was a great . Rooms are well designed and utilized space perfectly. I believe this is the way of the future. POD 39 was very clean, good location and friendly staff. Location near 3rd street made for many options for food and drink. Favorite local tavern was Ted's Corner Tavern. Great beer selections and the octopus salad was very... More

I'm a solo traveller and I found this room perfect for me. It was in a great location, just a few minutes from Grand Central Station. There are lots of restaurants and stores just a couple of minutes walk away. It was very clean. It had an excellent waterfall shower, with plenty of hot water. It had blackout shutters to... More

Great value, clean, hip, short walk to Grand Central for the subway. Rooms are small but adequate - it is NYC after all! The kids had the bunk room interconnecting my double. Rooms are at the end of the hallway, and a single door blocks the two rooms off...only problem is that you have to prop the heavy doors open... More

Hello EAKB Thank you so much for your awesome review. Glad you had a chance to stay in one of our adjoining rooms. It's perfect for a family trip, especially the bunk rooms. What kid doesn't enjoy bunk beds? Especially bunk beds with its own personal television. We always believe our guest is what makes our atmosphere, and our team... More

En voi kuin suositella./ Awesome hotel and the price was half, compared hotels nearby (in january). Neat and new Rooms + friendly staff. Many great restaurants just few steps away. Stevie... More

Loved this hotel. Stayed in NY for business for one week. The location is superb, just around the corner from Grand Central station and also Juice Generation bar is close by. Lots of brekkie places around as well as yoga studio, which was a big plus.

Stayed here for a week and it was such a great location! We could easily walk everywhere. We stayed in a room with a bunk bed, although quite small was perfect for what we needed it for and was clean and modern. Restaurant downstairs was great for dinner! Really enjoyed my stay here and I would go back!

Ok yes! The room (mini pod) was tiny & it is very clear in the description that the rooms are small BUT this is walking distance to Grand Central, Fifth Ave, Empire State, Rockefeller and more with an abundance of food choices within a block radius plus a great restaurant bar downstairs. Pod 39 has got a good vibe. The rooms are small but functional. I like the decor of the bar/breakfast nook - very international. Good for young travelers. Cheap bagel breakfast - not common in NYC. Great music playing in the lobby.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
