The hotel located in China Town, very easy to reach restaurant and shopping, the room is very small, double bed is also very small, carpet quite old, very noise, can hear people yelling at midnight, based on the price, generally fine.
I was staying at Soho Garden Hotel for 5 nights. Their rooms are clean, the staff is nice and the location is amazing. You literary got the subway five meters to the left when you leave the building.

The best of this hotel are the location and the price. It's in Canal st with Broadway, a perfect location to get around the city. The subway is in the door. Our room was in the 4th floor and in the corner of the building....More
I chose this hotel purely for the location and it did not disappoint me. From the moment i checked in, the staff were very attentive and hospitable. The hotel is in a fantastic location. There is a subway station literally at the front door. There...More
The hotel is as you would expect for the price and that suited just fine. The rooms are clean, functional and serve their purpose. The down sides? The walls are pretty thin and the AC can get pretty cold. The upside? Mike on front desk...More

Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where
many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.

I think it would be fine... Your 18 which is considered to be an adult in the US... When I bought this online I went through booking and they never ask your age I paid with my credit card online right away I've never heard of the rule your asking well at least for the US and that's where I'm from living in the UK... We use to live close to Wall Street so when I hear Chinatown I was worried but it's a cute hotel, clean, our room was small bit in another occasion we got the bigger bed and that room was huge the whole place is quiet even though it's on a busy street... When visiting from another country they may or may not ask to see your passport but I think that's standard though ... Have fun!
Sorry, also no deposit required at time of booking that I know of. I booked through a website(sight unseen) so I paid up front. Good location, close to subways(100 ft.) and taxis out the front door. Car rental really not... More
