hotel room was small, which I expected, but was immaculately clean, and linens and furnishings were in very good shape. Other positives: half the price of midtown hotels, friendly staff, lively neighborhood with lots of dining options (in Chinatown, but easy walking distance to Lower East Side shops and trendy NoLiTa boutiques.) Bonus points for being a half-block from Grand...

The electricity in the room is whack as well as the water pressure in the shower. You can't use the electric outlets because the lights will start dimming. The water in the bathroom has a mind of its own and comes out when it wants. Bed is shady. People showed up at our room saying the front desk gave them...

Very small room as well as the bed (I'm not sure that it is a real queen size bed). There were 4 people in our group so I try to pay extra (10 dollars per night) to upgrade my room to a biggest one. And I pay more (20 Dollars per night)for one single extra bed. They gave me a...

I love this place!! Excellent non-tourist location. Train across the street!! It does stink outside from all the street vendors, but you're in New York it stinks on Park Ave!?!?! Friendly staff, clean room, overall comfortable stay. Puts you right in the lower east side. No, it's not a 4 star but it has a comfortable bed, clean rooms, and...

Stayed at the Windsor Hotel with my 15 year old son for 3 nights and can honestly say that in all my travels this was the most awful place I have ever stayed. The area is rundown and there were guys on the street hanging out and drinking beer. It is not the place for a woman to stayalone with...

This hotel is rated as a 4star hotel, there is nothing at all that could bring it anywhere near a 2 star hotel Booked as a double standard, sub standard would be more fitting The room was very small, as was the bed, no wardrobe, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the shower took 5 minutes to run hot...

We needed a convenient place to stay for a Saturday night in the city. I did not want to pay $400, or be too far away from the subway. The windsor was perfect. Super close to the subway stop, so we were able to get uptown and to brooklyn with no problems. The room was very clean, and I slept...

Hotel in marginal location, next to a nightclub. Lobby and elevator was dirty with trash on the floors. Room reeked and you couldn't open the windows. Stains on the carpet and drapes hanging off the rods. Motel 6 was better than this place and the gall to charge $225 a night. They asked for your driver's license at check-in to...

My wife and I stayed here in April 2005. It was a trip that we organised at the last minute and we were being quoted $250 dollars and more (much more) per night at other hotels that had vacancy's. We were a little concerned about staying in the Lower East Side, but we did not have many (any) alternatives and...
