The Nomad was nice. And obviously popular among locals. The bar and restaurant was buzzing from we arrived until late at night. Hard to pinpoint anything really wrong with the hotel, except all public rooms way too dark for my taste. Rooms were quite charming. Staff was friendly. Location good. But lacked any distinct, genuine atmosphere. Just trendy, and with... More

We stayed for one night to celebrate my birthday. Our room was fantastic, the decor was so warm and interesting. They kindly upgraded us to a larger room and gave us a lovely bottle of sparkling wine for my birthday. The staff were super professional and friendly--no attitude here. Next time we will try the restaurant for dinner, we only... More

I paid about USD 500 for the room and for that price I expected more. Room (Atelier) was on the small side, but this is usual for NYC. The room was directly across the elevator, so very loud until like 2am and from 6am on, when some came or left. My recommendation - ask when checking in to avoid this.... More

I did not actually get the opportunity to stay at the hotel (I have eaten there though). I had, however, booked a room for a stay later in the year. Unfortunately my partner's father has taken seriously ill so I had to cancel the reservation. I had booked a non-refundable rate through a third party website. However, once I explained... More

Hotel is definitely for a younger crowd. The rooms are interesting, beds and sheeting are fantastic but layout of room is odd. The library bar was always crowded and noisy. I am wine drinker and love California wines. Their menu was all french wines and I think they go better with food than just to sit and sip. The price... More

For our tenth trip to NYC, my husband and I divided our stay between the Nomad Hotel and the Mandarin Oriental. We chose to stay at the Nomad Hotel because it was listed as one of the Conde Nast Gold List hotels, but mainly because we wanted to dine at their restaurant, headed by Daniel Humm (we loved his creations... I had a great stay at the NoMad - I was afraid the rooms would be too loud or noisy, but in fact, I found the hotel to have a very quiet sanctuary feeling on the hotel room floors. The design of my room seemed well thought out for comfort and relaxation. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was... More

One of NYC's best kept secret. Such a joy going inside. Magical. Like being in NYC in the turn of the 20th Century... Elegant, stylish and the staff are very courteous and professional. Must go to the room with a huge fireplace... Especially if it's cold outside! Candles all over, add a special touch to the place... The type of... More

Walking into the Nomad is like walking into Abercrombie and Fitch - it is dark, pretentious and the staff would rather be looking in the mirror than helping you. The location is great, a little rough, but easy to get to the shops and restaurants. The bedrooms are fantastic - cozy and quirky. It is annoying though that there is... More

The hotel staff made our trip very special and enjoyable. Received an email from the hotel concierge two days after making the reservation, to ask if there was anything he could assist with. I asked about holding our luggage before checking in, so we could explore the city. No problem in doing so. We arrived at the hotel, and the... More

The NoMad Hotel is housed in a turn of the century Beaux-Arts building that has been fully restored to its original grandeur with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia. The hotel is intended as a fresh take on the classic grand hotels of Europe with a distinct New York sensibility. The design of the hotel was inspired by the Parisian flat of Garcia’s youth. The 168 rooms are residential in feel and decorated in his classic, timeless style. Each room is appointed with hand-selected, richly textured custom-designed furnishings and original artwork.
