I really loved this hotel. Charming and staff was very friendly. My only problem is that it is dark. Had a hard time seeing numbers on elevator. Dark everywhere prefer more light. Not the best location for where we were going but wasn't terrible.

We spent two days at the nomad and it was fabulous! We had an amazing room with french windows! The roomservice food was delicious, best egg benedicts i have ever tasted! We loved that the hotel is so central located - 1' walk to the flat iron building - 3' walk to the empire state buldiung.

Decent size rooms, just enough style without being too pretentious, buzzing with energy in the evenings and friendly if not very personal service. Passed the 4am room service breakfast test. A good choice for a quick stopover in the city.

A couple liner notes. (a) we lived in manhattan for 25 years (b) we stay in hotels all the time (c) new years is our anniversary. We got a king room on the 2nd floor with the high ceilings. Room was excellent, reminded us of Paris. We saw Dan's White's Magic show. All I can say is WOW! Ate at...

My husband and I treated ourselves to a one night staycation at this beautiful hotel. Few highlights: exceptional attention to interior design and details, the location and friendly concierge. Enjoyed a round of cocktails at the bar before we headed out for dinner. We hope to be back again, hopefully soon!

You can find more plush, more convenient, more luxurious, but you simply can't find more cool and you can't find better food & drink. If you want to feel good about yourself and enjoy beautiful people in a comfortable and swanky setting, The Nomad is for you. Oh, and don't forget to ORDER THE CHICKEN!!!!!

It's amazing, how much every single detail of the customer experience was thought : You arrive, checkin is fast. If "better" rooms are available, you are upgraded without even asking In the room, robes, sleepers, and assorted mini-bar are waiting for you, as well as an electrical adaptor. The management even though to "preserve" the library salon only for the...

The hotel is a great boutique hotel, though a little dark in decor. The Library bar was great. Had breakfast in restaurant service wasn't great. Bedroom was great with a claw bath. Extremely clean great housekeeping team. Really enjoyed our stay. Extremely friendly front desk.

Wonderful hotel with wonderful staff, and I think it is good value for the money paid. I read on TA that the lobby is too dark, but I don't think so. It certainly is purposefully dimly lit, but there is light where it is required- I thought it was used subtly and tastefully. This feel does extend to the entire...

First time in New York and I spent lots of time trying to decide on a hotel for my wife and I. It was actually Part 2 of our honeymoon. Nice. Since it was the festive period I was craving a cosy, dimly lit, olde-worldy sorta vibe. But since I'm a millennial, I also wanted it to be young and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The NoMad Hotel is housed in a turn of the century Beaux-Arts building that has been fully restored to its original grandeur with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia. The hotel is intended as a fresh take on the classic grand hotels of Europe with a distinct New York sensibility. The design of the hotel was inspired by the Parisian flat of Garcia’s youth. The 168 rooms are residential in feel and decorated in his classic, timeless style. Each room is appointed with hand-selected, richly textured custom-designed furnishings and original artwork. The soaring ceilings throughout the public spaces provide a fine gathering place to enjoy dining, drinking and socializing. ... more   less
