I came here as a solo traveler on my virgin trip to NYC, and booked a hostel bed in one of their shared rooms. Considering the reasonable price and the shared room, my expectations were low, but that was unjustified. The hotel is stunning, its gym room, roof garden and spa area were a delight, and the hotel in overall...

Wife discovered the out Hotel on line Booked Friday Saturday nights Fair location. 42 st on west side but a bit further west than ideal. ( 10th ave) Very friendly and accommodating staff Rooms are comfy but a bit dark. Could use better lighting Rooms are somewhat smaller but probably average for NYC Would definitely stay here again

The Out NYC is a modern hotel that comes complete with open space and outdoor hot tubs in the Hells Kitchen area of NYC. The room and bathroom were a good size and the bed was really comfy. There was a bar on site and a spa and gym but no restaurant. There was however a great little restaurant serving...

I stayed a few nights at the out and it's in a very good position in Manhattan. The underground is easy to reach and there's plenty of good restaurants and bars. I stayed in a shared room (4 bunkbeds) abd it was gine, cheaper and cleaner than most hostels in NYC.

I've stayed for a couple of nights in the hostel part of The Out and I highly recommend it! It's clean, comfortable, has great in- room amenities and even better ones outside, especially the Wellness area. Great location, walking distance from major sites like the Rock or Times Square.

This place is a bit quirky. The hot tub in the middle of the hotel is slightly odd, but the price is pretty fabulous for a great location. The rooms are NYC size, pretty clean. The heater/cooling equipment is rather noisy and you can hear noise from the street. But the bed is comfortable as is the room. You are...

The Out is a gem! The staff is very friendly. The hotel is in a great location close to Times Square and Broadway but away from the chaos. Safe neighborhood with plenty of reasonable restaurants nearby. The outdoor courtyards are my favorite! On a sunny day, you can sit outside right in the middle of Midtown. Cannot recommend this hotel...

The room was very basic with only 1 plastic chair to sit on, other than the bed. The room looked out onto the courtyard and had a picture window. We had to keep shades drawn at all times since people walking by could look into the room. This made the room dark and unappealing. The bathroom was okay but the...

Went for a makeup show over the weekend with my daughter and friend. Staff was really friendly and helpful we even got there before the check-in time and they kept our luggage in order for us to explore the city, walk around and they allowed us to come back to do the check in afterwards. Hotel was very clean with...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
