A small jewel in the city just off Broadway. Perfect location. I much prefer this type of hotel to the huge mega tourist type. Polite staff, clean rooms, could use better lighting for putting on make-up, etc. But all in all, very pleasant.

Had little expectation as we were a last minute booking (for just a Saturday overnight) to catch dinner & show with 3 of our kids (ages 15, 13 and 10). The staff is exceptionally kind and the room was spotless! (2 things that matter VERY MUCH to me). Linens were top notch, beds comfortable and bathroom updated with nice products... More

Central location for people doing business midtown - no lobby scene (which edits out the scenesters) but a very good hotel restaurant well-suited for business breakfast, lunch or dinner. Nice touches like premium toiletries and cookies at bedtime. Room for improvement: was surprised the hallways are not carpeted to minimize noise and the rooms are a little more tired than... More

Before taking our first trip to New York City I did a lot of research on Trip Advisor before booking our trip through Travelocity. Most important to me when booking was cleanliness and location - i wasn't disappointed. The majority of the reviews for this hotel were positive, with a lot of comments about the small rooms. We went expecting... More

Close to Times Square and all the attractions. Clean rooms and good service. Price was regular. I forgot a suit pant and they sent me fast to Florida. The bed was very confortable. Close to main train stations.

We stayed for a week for our trip in New York City and were very pleased with the hotel. The room was quiet and comfortable with a surprisingly big shower. The location was great, just a few blocks from times square yet very quiet. We were on the 5th floor and didn't hear any street noise or neighbors. No views... More

From the moment we arrived, they treated us as if we were home. Welcoming staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are not huge - they are however very efficient (and the bathrooms are very well appointed). Look closely or you will miss the entrance.Feels very private and secretive.

The City Club is a little boutique hotel right across from the Algonquin. My colleague and I were pleased with our 2 night stay. I had a petite room which is quite small (of course), but it had more than enough space to handle my needs. The finishings were nice and the bathroom quite large. Wifi is free which was... More

the hotel is perfectly located and we were upgraded to a two story suite upon arrival. the room is so cool with many fancy decor and gadgets and two story high windows. It sounds perfect, I know but the noise! there is always too much going on on the street and these high windows provides no sound proof at all.... More

The City Club Hotel kind of feels like a secret. Squeezed between two larger hotels, and with the absence of the brown "CC" awning that I had seen in the photos, the only things that identified the presence of the hotel was the square nameplate on the wall and a glass door. The petite room is exactly what the name... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
