Stayed here after extensive research on TripAdvisor. I found this to be cheapest in the category I was looking for. The room was clean and large. The front-side is bit noisey due to the construction work and general NY noise. I found the staff to be polite and helpful. The area is not as plush as the central-park district ,... More

This hotel is a great deal for New York City if you need a centrally located hotel, and a safe place to sleep that is very clean. The room we had was two double beds and the room was about the same size as other Red Roof Inns I have stayed in around the country. Most importantly, the hotel was... More

We stayed at the RedRoof Inn in NYC, at the end of April, 2005. We paid a Senior rate of $139.99. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were fairly large, had nice amenities and were comfortable. The hotel served a complimentary breakfast, which offered a nice variety of choices. The staff was excellent to deal with. There was a... More

We have just returned from a weeks stay in NYC, and for location and the what you get for your dollar you cannot go better than this hotel. The housecleaning was first class, the kingsize bed was great and the room size was ok, there are larger ones on each floor, try and request floor level ie. 801 or 805.... More

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Red Roof Inn. We picked this hotel partly based on reviews on this site and were pleased with our choice. The room was large and clean and had a fantastic view of the Empire state building as we had requested. We also had a king size bed which was very comfortable... More

Stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Manhattan recently and was very happy with the accomodations. Everything was very clean and the front desk was very nice. We arrived on a very early flight and were able to drop our luggage off at the hotel and they actually have a very nice system of handling your luggage. The breakfast room... More

After having read many reviews of this hotel, thought I should add one myself. Spent 4 days here and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel- was very impressed with the cleanliness of the lobby, room and hallways. The location is wonderful- couldn't have asked for better! It is approx 10 minute walk to Times Sq, 5 minutes to empire state building, subway... More

Having heard horrible things about Manhatten hotel rooms- was surprised that this was cheap, clean and spacious. The lifts were slow- I did pity the people on the 15th floor. For the proce of the hotel the breakfast was very good with a decent choice- the breakfast room did get busy but we were always able to get a seat.

The day that I was schedule to arrive in NYC was chaotic. Ran errands all over DC, missed my shuttle to NYC. I had to take a later shuttle (a 4.5 hour ride). I called the Red Roof Inn and told them that I would be delayed. The representative was courteous and put me at ease. She assured me that... More

Just returned from seven days in NYC staying at the Red Roof Inn. The hotel is centrally located with the Empire state building around the corner and Macy's two blocks away. First impressions were good, as the hotel is nice and our room was clean and not too small. The elevators are slow and the front rooms facing the street... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
