If you want top notch service in NYC, then this hotel is the place for you. Battery Park is very special; the World Trade Center, Jewish Museum, ferries to Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and Staten Island are all within steps of this spectacular hotel. And, the views of the harbor and Lady Liberty are unparalleled. I would go...

The staff helped ensure a very special and unique experience. I was nervous enough focusing on popping the question. They helped ensure a very romantic surprise back in the room. Thank god the answer was Yes! Only downside was the breakfast room service. Not worth the cost.

Our family of four visited NYC for the NYC half marathon that my husband was running. Service was incredible from greeting our kids with a visit to the treasure chest and welcome bags to a pre-race offering of motivational posters, snacks, and drinks in the lobby, followed up by an amazing customized bag of treats for us to take on...

This man made extension of the lower part of SE Manhattan is home to the Battery Park Ritz Carlton. Clean, and easy to get to, this property does have some nice views of the river and Statue of Liberty. This hotel means business, so don't expect over the top luxury (luscious spa, steam room or brand new rooms) but if...

I had my wife and other people with her for 3 rooms total and they all experienced problems with Food, Housekeeping and Front Desk. We stayed 2-21 thru 2-24 2017 with 3 rooms. We have stayed at this Ritz Battery Park several times and it was always a good choice, unfortunately not this time. Several times my wife asked for...

If you are visiting NYC for the first time you may wish to stay midtown with all the tourists; however the downtown area is beautiful, walkable, and is perfect for my business travel. It is close to subway, Tribeca is walkable, and the view of the Statue of Liberty is the best!

The amenities are wonderful. The staff was so considerate and attentive. It was a great place to begin and end each day during our visit to the city celebrating our daughter's 16th Birthday! Our flight was cancelled due to the "blizzard" and the hotel was a wonderfully warm place to hang out, visit with friends and enjoy the snowy day....

Had an amazing time here. Location was better than we thought. Plenty to do nearby or grab the 1 train. Kids loved the view of Lady Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. The Club was great. Wendy went above and beyond always with a smile (unlike another gentleman who was grumpy to say the least). Front desk staff went above and...

We had booked a standard room and got upgraded to a room facing the Statue of Liberty. The staff was always helpful and friendly. We needed tickets for a tennis finale and the concierge helped us to get them. The walking path nearby by the Hudson is just incredible! I would definitely go back!

Lausanne, Switzerland

Hi all,

I'm a bit up in the air here as to the Battery Park Ritz and figured I might ask a few questions & share a few thoughts.

2 adults, 2 children (3&7) booked into a 1 bedroom liberty view club level suite

I'm a bit worried as to transport times & distance. Out of 5 days in NY I can't imagine we'll be in the Battery park area more than 1 or 2. Cost isn't really an issue compared to a 30 minute trip with a tired & cranky 3 yo. Any young families out there that have tried it out?

How good are the Statue of Liberty views? In some photos they look pretty decent while in others lady liberty looks like an ant out on the horizon. Honestly, the view is the main reason I'd take the Battery Park property over Central Park. We just got back from the Ritz Tokyo & had a wonderful city view from a 53rd floor corner suite. Even if I could find a hotel in NY that commanded such views, I would like to have my daughters remember NY a bit differently (one view overlooking a city is pretty much the same as another to young children right?).

Are there really no coffee machines in the rooms? I can't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel without an in-room Nespresso or Lavassa machine & this includes smaller 4* boutique hotels. A bit minimalistic for a high end luxury 5* isn't it?

Any truth to a lack of bathroom amenities? I expect 4*s (and lower 5*s) to stock tooth brushes/razors/sewing kits, etc. on property but properties such as the Ritz should have such things in-room & replenish them when used.

How is this property with kids? What in-room amenities were given for the kids (crayons/colouring books/children's soaps/children's toothbrushes/stuffed ritz lion/etc.)?

Better yet... What were the adult 'welcome amenities" (i.e. welcome card & chocolates)?

Thanks in advance.
