Large comfortable room in midtown one block east of Waldorf. Very convenient. Kids loved and well used the pillow menu. By NYC standards the room was very large. Would stay again. Subway stop one block away.

The Benjamin Hotel was such a wonderful surprise. I found the hotel on trip advisor and took a chance. It was wonderful from start to end. Coming from the suburbs it took a bit to get used to the city noise. The Benjamin staff was top notch. They really cared about our stay. We had a one bedroom suite and...

Bed was super comfortable, fluffy huge towels and great shower, large and nicely appointed rooms, and the service was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Excellent staff for sure, and the breakfast at The National was very nice. Location, location, location says it all too...great neighborhood, bagels at Ess-a on 3rd for breakfast on the go. Highly recommend for business or pleasure.

This is one of the Finer Hotels among many that I have booked which met all challenges of a First Class Stay. We all loved the decor, funiture, shower, the view as well as the comfort of the bed and sleeper sofa!

Stayed at the Benjamin for the first time. Got a suite that could sleep up to four just in case our kids decided to stay the night. The room was perfect, very comfortable bed and large tiled Shower with good hot water pressure. Every thing was just as described and would definitely stay again.

The Benjamin Hotel we remember is no longer there. It is now an old, dated, unkempt, dark and dreary specter of what it once was. The lobby is insignificant. The elevators constantly in disrepair. The hallways too narrow and dirty. We will not return. There are better options around the same location. There are much better options in other locations...

My friend made the reservation for us and you sometimes don't know what you are going to get. Well. I was happily surprised. Rooms were large , for NYC, updated and great service. The National restaurant attached is a good place for a beer or glass of wine. I'll be back.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

“I asked for a room on a lower floor so I could just walk downstairs and not have to wait for the elevator; they accommodated me with a room on the 3rd floor near a stairwell that led straight to the lobby. It was also just down the hall from the fitness center. Very convenient.”
