I just checked in today for a 4 night business stay. First room was a dark hole. with little to no light. Basically uninhabitable. 2nd room was better but sterile and just odd. 3rd room 15th floor small room, furnishings falling apart and cheap but huge floor to ceiling windows (finally natural light). Front desk staff very nice and accommodating...

We stayed in Dylan hotel for a week. The location is great, very close to the Grand Central, 5th Avenue and in walking distance from Times Square. The staff was very nice and very welcoming. The room was large was clean. Breakfast was a free buffet and very tasty. We highly recommend this place.

I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights with my friend as we explored NYC and went to a conference. It's currently covered by scaffolding so was a little difficult to find at first. It is in a perfect location; a few minutes walk from Grand Central, down the road from Bryant Park and Times Square. There is...

I stumbled onto the Dylan when some of my normal mid-town hotels were booked and I wanted something a little closer to a conference I was attending at the Grand Hyatt. Got a very reasonably deal on Priceline. Nice open lobby, a very decent sized room with a queen bed, a dresser, two night-side tables, mini fridge and closet with...

This was everything you need for a weekend getaway. Comfy bed, nice bathroom and it was quiet. The room was very spacious as well. It was in walking distance to everything. Highly recommend this hotel and we will be staying again!

I had initially booked to stay here for two nights as it was so cheap! However I was expecting the worst after reading mixed reviews, although after arriving and checking-in - The hotel wasn't as bad as some people were making out. Check-In was swift and pleasant. Rooms were reasonably sized, good size bed, modern bathroom (Large shower, no bath)...

Disclaimer: I very rarely post negative comments or reviews. After our stay, I actually emailed the GM who I spoke to back in December regarding this review and my experience and I did not receive a reply well over a week later. I guess she does not care that we had a very unpleasant stay. So, I'll just go ahead...

I'm just back from a two night stay at the Dylan hotel NYC. I found it to be clean enough, and modern in design. We didn't pay a ridiculous price compared to some of the hotels in new York, and it met our expectations. our room was large enough, the bed was really big and comfortable, and just what is...

Everything about this experience was A+! Nicole and Greg worked with me ahead of our arrival and could not have been nicer or more accommodating:) Upon our arrival check in went smoothly, the rooms were nice, clean and surprisingly spacious by NYC standards. My friend who live in Brooklyn came over for the day and was very impressed saying that...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Dylan Hotel in Manhattan unites tradition and modernity exquisitely and with a contemporary elegance that captivates our guests. The building is very emblematic, first having been the residence of the Welsh writer, Dylan Thomas, and later the headquarters of the New York Pharmacists Club. The Dylan Hotel combines the classical lounges and guest rooms of the period with ambiances and areas in contemporary design. We are a non-stop hotel, because the Big Apple never stops. For this reason, the gym and the business centre are open 24 hours a day. ... more   less
