My hubby and I chose the Roxy for a long weekend i April and it was a great choice! The location is great, the staff is awesome, the check-in (and out) process is smooth. I'm not sure how to describe the style of decor in the room but I loved it! Made me feel cooler than I really am. We chose the Studio King room and it is larger than you'd expect a hotel room in NYC to be. I loved being greeted with music (Gregory Porter!) when we first entered and I love the vinyl and the record player in the room. The room was super clean and the mattress was comfy as well. We are picky travelers and we have no complaints about The Roxy. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I stayed at The Roxy Hotel for a weekend to celebrate my Birthday. We were so pleased with this hotel- it exceeded our expectations. It has such “cool” vibes, which is what we were looking for in our hotel stay. The room was very nice and chic with a beautiful chandelier over the bed that gave the ceiling a lovely reflection. The Roxy bar was such an added bonus with wonderful drinks and delicious food, and best of all- the live entertainment. We also got to enjoy the little cafe, which was so nice that we didn’t have to step foot outside to get some coffee and pastries. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful- provided us with recommendations for great restaurants and spots to check out in the neighborhood. The location is awesome with a variety of fantastic restaurants nearby and only a quick, short walk to the SoHo shopping. Definitely plan to stay here again!…
The hotel is in an amazing location near great shopping and eating. The hotel itself has a sense of class about it without being overly posh which makes it feel very inclusive for all. The food (including the oysters!!) is amazing the drinks are great! The hotel staff was very attentive and made our trip feel very relaxed. 10 out of 10
I usually stay near the park or on the upper east side. Wow, the Roxy is our new go to in NYC. It was perfect. Great location, easy access to trains to the park, trains to Brooklyn ( Peter Lugar) and walking to Ground Zero. Loved the vibe at the Roxy. Great jazz club in the basement. Cool bar and dining atmosphere in the lobby- lounge area. Excellent coffee bar in the lobby. Will never stay anywhere else in NYC. Great friendly helpful staff as well!
I traveled with my best friend and goddaughter the weekend of her 13th birthday and stayed at the Roxy Hotel knowing it would be a fun experience for a 13 year old (I had stayed several times before and it was always a fun time). I wanted to make her birthday weekend memorable since she was now becoming a teen and it sure was amazing! I had the pleasure of communicating with Ruddy (director of guest services) and he went above and beyond to add special touches to our stay. He introduced himself upon our arrival and even followed up via email after our check out to make sure our stay was perfect. By far one of the best stays I’ve had and having Ruddy as our contact made if that much better.
I stayed here for a week for a business trip. On arrival I and my colleagues were informed that we have to pay 200 a night security deposit which was new to us. Saw nothing about this when making the bookings. Not happy about this but not like we had much choice. Walking up to our rooms the place looked amazing, really cool atmosphere and you can see right up to the top from the bar/restaurant (this would become more important later). Room looked very nice and a big basket of items sat there. After checking it was mini bar related and charges on everything I looked around the room for coffee or water... nothing. Not even a single free bottle of water.. every single thing costs. After my long flight I just decided to order breakfast and a coffee... that came with a 20% gratuity charge , 4 dollar delivery charger and the a section asking for a tip also... I could go on but the biggest issue is the noise. They have bands playing every night until 10pm and if you want to go to sleep early get ear plugs. On the 7th floor you can hear the band like they are right outside your room as the sound goes right up to the top of building. The doors are not sound proofed around them in any way... It's friday night and the band were playing even later and nothing but noise of music and people below stopping me from getting any sleep before my early flight tomorrow. Again nothing about this is highlighted. Also the windows in the building seem to be made of paper as all you can hear is the traffic and people talking 7 stories down outside. Again the hotel looks amazing... but whole heartily let down by the noise levels and lack of insulation in the rooms. I would never stay here again, no issues with hotels having bands/music playing but it should be made known and also how noisy it will get in your room. Can only imagine how bad it is for anyone on lowers floors. I will say the staff were great anytime i interacted with them, my review is purely based on the unacceptable noise issues primarily…
I stay here for work every 2-3 months. The rooms are clean, staff are friendly and attentive, restaurant is great for any meal, and the lobby is a good place to work or have a meeting. The location is top notch
Stayed at the Roxy for 5 nights while traveling for business - and was even blown away by the staff's top-notch service AFTER I checked out! I had to catch an early flight and didn't realize I'd left my airpods behind in the room until I had already boarded my plane... after quick call to the hotel, the security team got right on it and called me back before takeoff to let me know they had retrieved my airpods! They worked with me to ship them to my home and made it an incredibly smooth, stress-free process. I can't think of many other times I've gotten items back after accidentally leaving them behind. Big shout-out to David and the security team for their help!
I was completely blown away with my recent stay at The Roxy. I was excited based on a friend's recommendation but it completely exceeded my expectations. We loved everything about our stay. Great staff, location and rooms. The restaurant and bars were fantastic. I typically look to staff at different spots but I will be returning to the Roxy after this experience.
We had an amazing stay at The Penthouse suite of Roxy. This suite is perfect for entertaining guests and having a great get together! The stairs from the living room lead to the terrace which is huge and perfect to accommodate many friends. We were celebrating my wife's birthday at a nearby event space and then came back to chill with friends and family. This suite was a big hit for everyone! We spent the night hanging under the NYC skyline at the spacious terrace. Great sound system! Plenty of space both upstairs and in the living room for everyone to hang. The suite is nicely decorated. Huge sofa for everyone to spread out. The bar in the suite is well stocked with full size bottles! In the morning it was great to have breakfast on the terrace! Overall fantastic experience throughout our stay! Great location, beautiful architecture and great vibes! The team at Roxy is very friendly and want you to have a great time! They went above and beyond to help us celebrate! Surpassed our expectations!! Thank you!!…
