Very happy with our stay. The price was right, check in and check out was easy. The room was well-designed. Our “smart bed” was not smart (did not go up and down) so we had to squeeze past each other and plan our trips across the room. It was fine for a couple of nights, and too much trouble to change rooms. The restaurant, Green Fig, was tasty and well-priced. We loved that we could eat outdoors on the terrace.

This is nothing more than a fancy youth hostel. The front door was broken, the room to store your luggage was broken, the bed/sofa was broken… Check in is all self done with a little computer pad. You need to fumble and navigate on how to make your own key cards and check yourself in. If you want to go check in at the front desk with a real person, the line was about 12 people deep. YIKES. The rooms are approximately 100 ft.²!! Because the bed was broken and never could fold up (as intended) you open your door and immediately trip over your bed. There was barely enough room for two normal size adults to open their luggage and just exist. There is no proper door the toilet, so you better like the person you’re with because you will smell and hear everything. Since we were planning on storing our luggage for the day until we switched hotels, we inquired within. After navigating a robot telephone system from our room, we finally got a person who told us we need to pay for our own luggage storage and we need to go find the storage place called “luggage hero”. They couldn’t tell us where it was, but we just needed to “go look it up and go and pay for it and figure it out”. WOW. To-go coffee from their bistro are four bucks each… luckily they were tasty & convenient… even though over priced. One nice thing about this place is they have an outdoor area with a movie and dinner every night. However when we tried to get a table, they said they had no room for us and we were sent away. Needless to say we switched to a Hilton on West 57th after 1 night, where we had a nice sized room, a full staff of people at the front desk to check us in, and a bodega next-door with delicious $2 coffee in the morning.

Room 824 was infested with ANTS. They were coming in from the Terrence and were all over the rooms or the room. It was very comfortable walking around, not pulling anything on the floor or sleeping thinking what if they got in the bed. Very disgusting and disappointing for the money spent on that room.

I think it is ridiculous that for the price you pay you cannot leave your luggage in this hotel between checking out and leaving to the airport. We had to find a storage in town. The room was ok but not very special for the price you pay.

The Yobot storage was being repaired so there was no place to store my luggage before my matinee. They charged 59.00 to check-in early. A money grabbing scam if I am being honest. The iron in the room spewed water on my shirt. I called for a new iron and it never get delivered. The t.v was also problematic as I couldn't get clear reception on the local network channels. The other channels weren't optimal either. I am a major theater fan so I come to NYC on a regular basis and this was my worst hotel stay in recent memory.I emailed corporate and never received any kind of response. It will be a wintry day in hell before I stay in this hotel again. Do better.

I was looking for a one night crash pad. When I Yotel was offered up as some sort of special promotion on one of the booking sites, I jumped on the price and location since previous reviews were very positive. Check in was done at a kiosk. The process was relatively intuitive, and next time I'm sure I will be able to move through it a bit more quickly. I was really plased with the "cabin". It is, indeed, very much the size and configuration of a cruise ship cabin. Everything you need, and nothing you don't. (Although a coffee maker would be nice.) The bed is electrically operated to move from a recliner to the sleeping configuration. The room was perfectly clean, and everything worked. Unless you need to spend a lot of time in your hotel room, this is a great place to stay in the city. I didn't get a chance to enjoy the terrace or the restaurant, but both looked very inviting. My only complaint is that the mattress was crushed where people tend to sit, and I kept rolling into the divot all night. Highly recommended and I'll be back.

I had issues with a/c and wifi which truly altered my entire stay. A/c was reset but still was not cold. Also the text assistance was a complete joke. Even when prompted to speak to the staff, it never got me connected. Such a let down

Great location, walking distance to Time Square & Port Authority. Small room but sufficient. Great shower and bath amenity. Complimentary coffee & muffin no longer available. Should considered providing in-room coffee maker. Good view.

We had a corner view room which had the best views I have ever had when staying in NY.The room had floor to ceiling views on 2 sides and as we were 21st floor we had spectacular views. The price wasn't much more than rooms elsewhere with no view at all!!!! 10 mins walk to Times Square and 5 mins to 9th avenue restaurants. Lovely wonderful staff who went over and above to be helpful. I'm not even bothering with comparison websites for future visits. I'm just booking this hotel!
