In NY is very difficult to find value for money.... and this hotel is on the low side... 1) small and pricey room - hardly any space to walk around at 430 USD + taxes and not including breakfast 2) average service at restaurant... 3) tiny gym

Although not advertised that way, this is similar to a hyatt place, but with much smaller rooms. It is below the quality of most other hyatt hotels . Great location overall, but not a great value. noisy AC in rooms.

Matthew at the front desk took great care of us despite an issue with Hotwire (we thought we'd booked a room with 2 beds. Not the case.) We arrived late on Friday night and he upgraded us to a room with 2 queens and city view. We made it in time to grab a drink at fabulous rooftop. Will definitely...

I've stayed at many Hyatts but never at the smaller ones like this. I am used to a more formal Grand Hyatt but many things were happening in New York so I decided to take a chance and stay here. I am so glad that I did. I arrived well before check in time, and was greeted by Paola at...

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for a week from 19th-26th August. It was our first time to NYC and we wanted a hotel that would be a good base for our week of sightseeing...this hotel was exactly that! 3 blocks from the Empire State Building and Macys, walking distance of Times Square and the Flat Iron and close to...

This week I was in on business and of Hyatt hotels this one won the lowest rate for this week. I do have to say the location is pretty good on 31st. It's walking distance to a lot, but at the same time away from the midtown mess. There isn't much on this block of 31st, so noise isn't an...

We loved staying at Hyatt Harold Square, it was the perfect location for exploring New York for the first time, very close to Broadway / Times Square but tucked away from the main hubbub so getting a good nights sleep was not a problem. The room wasn't as big as we were used to in the USA but this seems...

Loved this hotel. When we arrived I was worried as the block looks sketchy but the hotel is great. Interior is similar to a Hotel M look. Room was good size for NY and clean and new looking. I was very happy with the place. Stay in NY quite often and this is a good option going forward.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
