My friend and I enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Herald Square for my birthday weekend. The room was very comfortable, and we had a great view of the Empire State Building. Most of the staff I encountered were very pleasant and friendly. The doorman (I guess he was the doorman, the hotel lobby isn't set up like the typical...

When I first pulled up was middle of snow storm and was unsure since no valet was outside. Check in was simple and the same person did the valet. Room was small but clean and pleasant. Could have used more hot water. Staff was friendly and receptive.

Nice clean hotel. Good bar and menu if you wanna hang in. Obviously walking distance to many restaurants. Easy drive in and subway one block away. Valet seems pricey at $70 a night. Can park yourself right across street.

Great hotel! Check-in was easy and the staff was professional. The hotel is remodeled and clean and the bed was acceptable and easy to sleep in. I also liked that the windows seemed to be thick enough to keep the city noise lower. I have stayed in hotels where I found it impossible to sleep because the windows were not...

I am a business traveler and find myself eating and working at many hotel lobby restaurants. After 10 years, my expectations are low, especially in a small hotel restaurant. Well... they wowed me. I came in after working more than 10 hours and the staff remembered me. The bartender that was also greeting everyone remembered me and asked if I...

The best value in NYC! I am impressed with the hotel's location and service... I would certainly recommend the hotel for its structure and service. Plus a beautiful and wonderful rooftop bar for drinks and fun!

The Hyatt Herald Square hotel is an upscale standard NYC hotel. The rooms are small but spacious given that it is in NYC. The staff is the best part of this hotel - quick, remember preferences and very attentive. I have been staying at the hotel for the remainder of the last year every week and consistently recommend it to...

Having stayed in New York on four occasions, we have today returned home a little frustrated with our stay at the Hyatt Herald Square. Firstly the location is good, ideal for a ten minute stroll into Times Square and plenty of coffee shops and train stations nearby. Macy's is a couple of minutes away and I was generally happy with...

The hotel is clean and great location. Most rooms have only 1 bed, the rooftop was great (should be nice in the summer). But the service was awful, specially the restaurant. We were at the restaurant for New Years' Eve. We were 13 including 4 kids and the kids ordered first but their food didn't come together, one child had...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
