Bartender Brenda makes a mean Manhattan while Matthew Smock and his associate, Kyle, staff the front office with friendly, sincere, and knowledgeable hospitality. This is a beautiful hotel with a very hip, vibrant décor in the the lobby and in the rooms. Location is great for walking to some of the best Korean restaurants and excellent nearby shopping. We would...

Took kids to NYC to see Macy's Santa Land, booked Hyatt Herald square. Upon entering, we were upgraded to two queen bed with empire building view. The room size is good (considering NYC standard). The hotel has this boutique feelings, more like a kimpton, instead of a typical Hyatt brand. The front desk were very kind, offering us water and...

First the good: - Location terrific and in fact why I choose this hotel along with being a Hyatt which I had assumed brought certain standards - Room size - good for location in Mid town - Staff - most try very hard to offset issues -some couldn't care less Why not up to a Hyatt standard - no support...

1. Very good benefits for Hyatt Diamond member, I got upgraded to the only suite they have (Empire Suite). It is possible during the low season if you only stay for one night. The breakfast is complementary for diamond members which including some decent choices you can order on the menu. 2. Good location, Ktown, Herald Square. 3. Special thanks...

Stayed at Hyatt Herald Square and checked in during a gloomy rainy, cold night. During checkin, Alicia at the front desk became excited when she noticed it was my birthday from my drivers license. I tried to down play it but Alicia wouldn't have any of that. :) She was so sweet as she happily congratulated me and moved us...

This is a tiny hotel. It's unusual for a Hyatt. The rooms are tiny (though the bathrooms were spacious) but are extremely well designed. Everything is there, just hidden in every possible nook and cranny. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. One problem, there's only two elevators, and during our stay one was broken! Thus, we had...

I've stayed pretty much all over Manhattan and this was my first time at this Hyatt. The hotel is modern and more 'hip' than say the nearby Hyatt Place as this hotel has a bar and the roof top experience. The staff were very nice and fun, especially Brenda and Jarrod at the lobby bar, where they make some great...

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel from November 20-25, 2016. Everything was great until the last night of our stay when there must have been a party on the floor above us with a lot of noise and smoking of marijuana. Very disappointed that this is allowed to go on in an upscale hotel. The odor coming through...

This is a great little hotel nestled in New York's fashion District. Rooms are tiny but functional. Beds are comfortable and the shower water pressure is amazing. Elevators were a little slow but not too too bad. Lobby is small but again the lobby does serve its purpose well. The rooftop bar affords outstanding views of the Empire State Building...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
