The hotel staff is very helpfully, accommodating, service minded and pleasant. The hotel is situated between 5th and 6th avenue, near MoMA and just a short walk from Central Park. Very central and easy to access. Over all a most pleasant stay!

I stayed here on a recent business trip to NYC and found it to be a good choice. The location is excellent (specially if you need to be close to Rockefeller Center). Times Square is just a few blocks away and quite frankly that few blocks is a welcomed buffer if you are looking for a relatively quiet place to...

Over all this is a nice hotel, The staff is very friendly and it is in a great location. The down side is the proposed kitchenette. In the room that we had it was only a micro and fridge. I was told after that the are other rooms with different configurations. So do ask about that if you book. the...

I stayed only for one night on a business trip and couldn't ask for more. Location-wise is spot on, in the middle of everything and close to public transportation for what's not nearby. Quality-wise, I think is a notch more upscale than the Club Quarters or the Affinias, for a similar price, so that's a huge plus. Size-wise....New York style,...

I stayed at the Jewel facing Rockefeller for one night in April. To qualify this review, I am female, mid-30s, and since I usually don't spend much time in the hotel room I generally look for a clean, affordable, centrally located hotel. The Jewel was a great value. It is literally just opposite Rockefeller Centre, and close to the subway....

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend retreat into Manhattan and I could not have been more pleased. Clean, efficient and moderately sized, we were comfortable and well kept in this hidden jewel. The bottled water was a nice touch but exemplary staff made the experience one we wouldn't forget. Definitely would return!

The location of the hotel is excellent of course and the room I had was spacious, clean and well equipped with a kitchenette. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. There are two things I really liked about this hotel: a) They have confronted the perennial problem of accessing drinking water in US hotels. Ordinarily you either pay $$...

This hotel is quaint and reminds me of a European hotel, but larger. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can't beat the location. Just steps out the door to watch ice skating at Rockefeller. Subway right out the door and walking distance to theaters. Hotel is surrounded by restaurants and cafes. Awesome coffee maker too - even made lattes!...

The jewel is the perfect place to stay in NYC. Loved how close it is to everything. The staff was very polite and helpful. The rooms are clean and a good size for NYC . On our next visit hopefully the weather will be nicer to experience the terrace.

If you have business in this part of Manhattan (especially Rockefeller Center) or want to be close to the more upscale shopping options on Fifth Avenue, or go to an event at Radio City Music Hall, then this hotel is very well located. Its very easy to miss, as it has a very small ground floor presence. The lobby is...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
