Stayed here a few weeks ago. First the good things: 1. It's less than 10 mins walk to Times Square from the apartment building so it's a good location (although the area immediately surrounding the Metro Apartments is somewhat edgy.) You're also only a short walk from an abundance of good bars and restaurants. 2. The apartment was a good... More

For a building situated so close to Time's Square, Metro Apartments are surprisingly spacious and proves good value for money. The renovated room we stayed in was clean, modern, self contained and the bed was large and comfortable. The noise level is pretty high (as in most NYC apartments), and the walls can be pretty thin in places which inhibited... More

We stayed here for three nights. We looked at lots of hotel options to strike a balance between our budget and a good place to stay. This was a perfect fit. The room was large self contained apartment close to Metro station, clean and comfortable. The reception was manned 24 hours and was very helpful. The self service laundry was... More

After reading some of the reviews I was concerned that the hotel might be a bit of a dump. I'd read about bad drainage, noise and general shabbiness. Having never stayed in the Hell's Kitchen district of NY before I was a little unsure about what to expect. After exiting Port Authority Bus Terminal and walking a block or two... More

Visited for a long weekend break with my family (myself, my partner' my mother and our 2 teenagers) to celebrate my daughters birthday. Although the street it's self was not the most attractive in Manhattan and it's close proximity to the bus depot meant a certain amount of traffic noise, was very pleased and these factors led to a cheaper... We stayed here last year and were a little worried by the bad comments in tripadvisor. What I will say is that people definitely do overreact, I found nothing... NOTHING... Wrong with this hotel. The room was gorgeous, big and spotlessly clean, we had a view of the Freedom tower in the distance and the front desk staff were helpful... More

Metro Apartment is about 45 minutes ride from the JFK Airport. Located on 41st Street near a freeway and Bus station (Port Authority) so expect noise from vehicles. Reception is not friendly nor accommodating. They treat you like just ordinary tenant so don't expect any greetings from them. No bell service or amenities, since it is an apartment so you... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
