My travel plans changed requiring us to spend an extra night in New York, as this was the only SPG hotel with availability I booked it, excitedly as it was a new brand for me. For me the location was not ideal, however if you're going to NYC everyone has a preference on location. However I should have had an...

We stayed for 6 nights in February, 2013. The amenities were excellent, breakfast included was great, location was ideal. What made our visit special was the on-duty Manager taking the time to offer to take photos of myself and daughter outside the front of the hotel as it snowed. We would definitely stay there again, and recommend it.

Great breakfast included with your stay 7 days weekly. Evening wine on Monday thru Thursdays. Staff is always friendly & helpful. We stayed on the 31st floor facing Time Suare. You could hear the sirens good throughout the night but it didn't interefere with our sleep.

We were in the Element from September 1 to September 4. The rooms and hallways are reasonable clean, but there are many downsides. A big issue are the elevators. we stood at floor17, which meant that during rush hours we couldn't get an elevator. They don't stop at any floor once the have reached their capacity. This resulted in sometimes...

Dear Hans S, We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. While we are thankful to be a busy, Times Square hotel, we understand that the environment is not for everyone. If we could ever make things up to you in the future, please let us know.

Me, my wife, sister and my cousin arrived at the Hotel and we were greeted with a big smile at the Reservation desk from 'Millie' and were made to feel very welcome instantly (which was nice). We had also seen reviews of the hotel on various websites and had no hesitation on booking it and we were not disappointed. As...

My husband and I made our first trip ever to New York City and stayed 4 nights at The Element. We were very pleasantly surprised with EVERYTHING about the hotel. The bed was so comfortable, the hotel was located within easy walking distance of Times Square, the breakfast they provided was very good and plentiful, and it made for a...

Clean, close to Times Square and Macy's. Price was unbeatable. Right next to a major subway hub for access to all lines. Rooms were adequate size with good amenities. The one we were in was a little worn but this did not impact our stay. Rooms were clean and the kitchenette was a great feature. Get a suite with one....

I really did a lot of research before my first visit to NYC, and all the reviews of The Element was great. And it didnt dissapoint! Great location. Fantastic people at reception. Fast free WiFi. Breakfast was good but not the greatest but hey, it saved us a meal everyday that we didnt have to buy. We never waited more...

I was looking for a hotel that would accommodate 4 people comfortably and found this hotel through Book.com. The price was reasonable, and the extra feature of free breakfast is what finally bought me on this hotel. Upon arrival, the check-in process was easy and were able to get a room before the normal check-in time. The double room was...

First time in New York so really nothing to compare it to but by far the nicest room I've ever stayed in, couple minute walk from everything. Staff was extremely nice to greet you when you came back at the end of the day and were good with recommendations on places to eat and see. Beautiful roof top patio was...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
