We have stayed at many hotels in NYC and wanted to try something new. Well we had great success in trying something new.
Excellent Service ( thank you, Dan, at the front desk) Great View Great Food ( super healthy menu options)
The restaurant and Bar were well-staffed and presented many options The Gym and SPA were amazing. We scheduled time in the spa after an excellent workout When you enter the hotel, you are warmly welcomed by everyone working there. Nothing is impossible or cannot be done . We had some last-minute needs, and they accommodated our requests up to an extended late checkout due to an issue with our brunch reservations at another location.
We loved the room ( ask for a river view). The blackout shades and the room temperature settings perfectly combine darkness and calm and quiet for a great night's sleep.
An abundance of ride shares seemingly available in single-digit minutes when needed, which was nice
So what was not significant? There are a couple of things.
The outdoor terrace was not open (it opens in April). It would have been nice to know that ahead of time.
The outdoor pool was not open ( to our knowledge), which was a bit of a letdown but not a deal-breaker
Light controls in the room are a little hard to see in the darkness if you need to use the restroom overnight.
Non of the not great things would stop us from returning, and we should empower anyone interested in staying at this location to do so. There are shopping and dining options within a one-minute walk of the hotel. But don't sleep on the electric lemon. They can make your dietary needs no matter what they are.

Visited the chic, zen and sophisticated Equinox Spa with a colleague for our annual spa afternoon in the city, and it was simply a wonderful experience! We both have very stressful jobs and this is a much needed reprieve and treat for our mental and physical well being! We both agreed that we had the best massage (90 min E. Deep Massage) ever, and we have been to many spas all over the world.
Ask for Guillermo and Laura, they will make you feel like a new person after the treatment!
And sitting in the private alcove facing the Hudson River afterward, zipping our herbal tea and enjoying our photo opps made the spa outing even more memorable!
Expensive but so worth it!

Jason who checked me in and out was exceptional with customer service. The staff at the hotel is what made this five star in my opinion. The room was nice however the thermostat had issues hot than cold air we had 2 different engineers who came up to help, very friendly but the thermostat kept failing. Housekeeping was excellent! If you do not want housekeeping service make sure to put no service or they will come in even though you tell them no service needed. The spa services were nice the spa however was cold throughout and robes very thin and short. The electric lemon was very good food and William our waiter was so fun a great since of humor and he offered great suggestions for food choices. Thank you staff!!!

I spend a lot of time traveling the world. A hotel can make or break your travel experience. Equinox Hotel has cracked the code regarding service, space, privacy, communication, and mental health resources. I’ve stayed a handful of times now each stay has been almost two weeks. Not once has the hotel made me feel uncomfortable. The check-in process is seamless. They always remember my name. I enjoy the entrance to the hotel. It gives you the impression of privacy, and the lift only allows you to the 24th floor, which is the reception. The offerings in the room are incredible and thoughtful. There’s also a refillable filtered water tap, a beautiful gesture to save on our blueprint. I love the spacing in the wardrobes, lots of compartments to put away your clothes, and cases, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, which I believe are essential facing a window or lit very well. Utterly obsessed with how room service is orchestrated with very sensible delivery. The packaging is meaningful and intentional. Keeps the food warm or hot. The dry cleaning service is speedy and packaged beautifully. Enjoy the showers. Spacing in the bathrooms is also decent. The list goes on and on and on.I must mention the location as I think it’s perfect if you’re not from New York and want to be in the heart of New York but don’t like a lot of noise. You have easy access to everything but feel like you’re not in all the Mayhem. The gym access is phenomenal. It’s open from 530, although I wish it were five AM. I have just enough time to get a decent workout before I start my day. The hotel and GYM are immaculate, and the interior is modern, chic, and practical can not wait for my next trip. I hope this encourages you to explore the beauty of Equinox hotel.

Stayed here for 6 nights and received a warm welcome at the lobby by the concierge. When I arrived up at reception at 5.30pm my room was not yet ready and I was instantly offered a credit to my account, which was appreciated. The hotel and room itself are very smart and modern, with an incredible view of downtown NYC from the 36th floor. The room was very comfortable, fantastic bed and pillows, great bathroom although the shower pressure was a little low.
Unfortunately, I did suffer two nights with a noisy neighbour who's loud talking and singing at 3am could very clearly be heard (and loudly) through the walls. The room was certainly not soundproof. On both occasions I had to call reception, who even at that time of night answered quickly and all went quiet a few minutes later. After the second occasion I did ask to move rooms, and this was done without fuss and I was moved to an improved and much quieter room. A newly built hotel in this price range should really have soundproofed rooms though.
Housekeeping were excellent, leaving additional amenities when asked for and then remembering to refresh them a couple of days later without asking. The one time I had to call for an item via the in-room ipad, it was literally delivered within a few minutes.
The gym doesn't really need any comment - it's way, way above standard hotel gyms.
I had breakfast three days in the restaurant. Food quality is very good, service was a little rough around the edges at times (staff stood in a group talking or all of them somewhere out the back of the restaurant). A number of items available on room service weren't available on the restaurant menu which was disappointing.
Overall though a very enjoyable stay, its just a shame that the noise impacted two nights otherwise it would have been a 5-star review.

Fantastic hotel! Got a junior suite overlooking the vessle and it was a great choice! very warm and great view. Bathroom had heated floors. A big fan of that! Light controls and shades are controlled by various control panels all around the room and also next to each side of the bed. Motion activated floor lighting under the bedside made for great and easy navigation without waking my wife. Junion suite included a powder room and living room with large tv. Room came availalbe with work-out gear for purchase which came in handy as my wife forgot some of her things. Absolutely fantastic service all around the hotel Staff are clearly and professionally trained in hospitality. Even their gestures, from the way they had thigns to you to the way they guide you around the hotel are clearly consistent with Asian and Italian class and respect.

From start to finish, our weekend stay at the Equinox Hotel was impeccable. Immediately greeted upon arrival, front desk walked us to the elevator upon check-in, and 2 bottles of water waiting for us in the room. Our view was overlooking the Hudson River, and sunsets were stunning. We are used to staying at luxury hotels, but the Equinox experience was just different. The shower alone was worth the price of admission (water pressure, AM and PM body wash, the scents). My wife and I didn't want to leave the room and bathrobes! At night there is a button on the iPad to make the room cool, dark, and quiet....so cool, and an amazing night's rest. Also, any time we called the front desk, they were at our door in minutes. Having a full Equinox just downstairs was incredible and convenient. We were able to maintain our lifestyle away from home (me weight-training, my wife yoga classes). The restaurant was fantastic, and many healthy options. The hotel location is right next to the High-line, which made it super easy to explore and head down to different parts of NYC. Additionally, the Peak is right next door and a can't miss (360 degree views). The concierge set us up with an incredible table for cocktails before our meal at Electric Lemon. Overall, 10/10. We haven't stopped talking about it since, and my wife wants to move in. We cannot wait to go back for round 2

I visited the Spa here twice, once on Friday and once on Sunday. I thought I had died and gone to Spa Heaven, honestly. The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating, and even helped me out when the Sunday Motorcycle Parade delayed my arrival time Sunday! They made adjustments for me so that I could get almost all of my infrared sauna time in before the next client arrived. Jose’ in the service/bathroom area was marvelous, as were Jonathan and Melissa at the front desk. I highly highly highly recommend visiting and trying out the infrared sauna treatment, as well as the cryotherapy treatment. Amenities, including dry sauna, showers, shampoos, conditioners, body washes, deodorants, and body creams are all complimentary and produced by the hotel’s own line — luxurious and invigorating on all fronts! The waiting room is soothing, beautifully decorated, and filled with vegan snacks, organic teas, and lemon-ice water with their own personal black water bottles. You cannot ask for a more luxurious and calming experience!!! Five stars!!! I will definitely go back when I’m in town!! 👍👍

Staff quality mars the service experience. The spa in particular has not been trained to honor what a high end wellness experience should be and continually creates stress over minutiae’s rather than letting peace prevail. Staff are also over zealous in their efforts to micro manage every step of a clients journey throughout the facility which needs a cultural shift. Visiting another spa today and the peace that comes from staff that know how to balance service with not micromanaging is palpable.
Dining options include only one on premise and menu is very sparse. No casual coffee places as one would expect for a five star experience
The bed is uncomfortable. Hard mattress with no sheets. Just twin comforters in a king bed that is too low resulting in poor sleep quality. The thermostat as well does not work properly and I woke up tossing and turning all night
The fitness center is overcrowded because it caters to locals and not just guests so there is no possibility to get a spot in the hot tub or a lounge chair on the terrace even on a weekday

Our suite could not have been more luxurious and beautiful. Dan at the front desk was so, so charming and helpful. Top knotch customer service. Andy downstairs was maybe the nicest most 5 star customer service I’ve ever experienced. Both him and Dan deserve a raise, real MVPs. My one bummer is that although it’s advertised as a spa hotel, it really isn’t. It’s a gym hotel. The pool is for lap swimming with the gym members and the jacuzzi is a sweaty gym jacuzzi. This isn’t a spa hotel. Also, the food and in room dining is extremely expensive. An herbal tea is $10, plus a service charge and tax. About $15 total. It’s very expensive. But overall, this is a sleek, sexy and great hotel. Very health conscious, the only milk in your room for coffee is powdered coconut milk with Mct oil…so it’s really health conscious. But we had a blast, and the customer service was wonderful!
