Very disappointed, booked as a treat expecting a 5 star experience. We stayed here for 4 nights on a city break, there were lumps of hair in the shower when we arrived, she sheets had stains on, the 'complimentary minibar' was not kept stocked, the room service was slow, when it even came, twice failed to show at all. Wifi...

The 5th Avenue Andaz is in a great location. The bathrooms are huge compared to some of the hotel bathrooms in Manhattan. Get a room on a high floor so you can avoid the noise. The staff is very nice and helpful.

This was my second time visiting this property. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. However, the hotel is not very user friendly. Despite upgrading to a suite, none of the amenities were in my room. No coffee or spoon and none of the promised complimentary snacks. Also, my room was not ready for several hours after my arrival due...

The overall experience is good except the broken Bluetooth speaker and weight. They give me hot tea when I arrive and checkin process is really quick. The location is great, walkable to time square, center park and other landmarks.

Facing the Morgan Library, I can't be happier with my choice! Super convinient location Very cozy (for European standards) American hotel (Andaz is the Hyatt boutique-sort chain) as it's so not the typical New York behemothic hotel sort (be it the Four Seasons or any Hilton) Enormous room - and I was not staying at a suite! The best hotel...

Highly Recommended as this hotel is luxurious. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated with excellent views of the city. Grand Central is nearby and its right across public library and Bryant Park as well. It has a lively Bar/Restaurant in the basement packed with people. Highly Recommended but beware its quite expensive.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
