We were second time visitors to this hotel and have never been disappointed. The rooms are always clean and super comfortable, and the staff are always incredibly helpful and very friendly. We couldn't imagine finding a better hotel in a more convenient location.

Hotel's Favourite
Absolutely fabulous hotel, wonderfully comfortable king size bed, lovely cotton sheets and pillows on a well made bed, no ill fitting sheets or duvets here! For a small room there was ample, well thought out storage with 4 large pull out drawers under tour king size bed. The room contained a mini fridge, espresso coffee machine, large TV and small hand held steam iron. There were a couple of packets of complimentary crisps, biscuits and water which was a nice touch. There was a privacy light on the door if you did not require room service. We had them freshen the room half way through our stay, when we returned, they had thoroughly cleaned through and changed all the bedding. The room was spotless. Bathroom quite big with huge shower and good water pressure. We were in room 1705 which was quite high up and at the back of the hotel, really surprised as to how quiet it was considering we were in the middle of NY city, no noise from adjoining rooms either. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful and so welcoming. When you step outside the door the area is a little off putting but to to be honest it felt extremely safe. There is an Irish bar across the street if you arrive late and are wanting a quick meal or a drink. Just around the corner there is a “Pret A Manger” with an eating area for breakfast items such as lovely almond croissants or warm savoury items and good coffee to start you off on your day. This is classed as the financial district and very close to the 9/11 site and not far from battery park where you get the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island. We were a little worried about the subway but there has been a massive change around here since we were here last, everywhere felt much safer and cleaner even though a lot of buildings seemed to be covered in scaffolding for some reason. We did not find lots of restaurants in the immediate area but a 5-10 minute walk took you to plenty. Could not recommend this hotel highly enough. After a hard day trekking the city, so nice to have a homey haven to come back to, wonderful shower and amazing bed for a well earned good nights sleep.

This hotel has exceeded all expectations. My fiance and I stayed at this hotel to attend the Bad Bunny concert and I'm happy to report that it was clean and chic, and the staff were extremely kind and professional. The vibes, the bed, and the aesthetic design were all top-notch. Not to mention, I left my backpack with my laptop and other valuables in it and the staff responded positively to this crisis. I received confirmation that the bag was being mailed to my home the next business day. I would 1000% recommend this hotel. At this price point, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better hotel with a better staff than this in New York City.

We’ve been here for the second time as we love to stay at Artezen Hotel. Its location is great as it’s close to Fulton Subway station and is right in the middle of the financial district. The service is tremendous, especially both concierges Daniel and Christian had always a smile on their face and a good recommendation for the day. Artezen offers everything we needed - we’ll definitely come back soon!

We had an excellent 6 night stay at the Artezen. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. The room was ideal for our needs. The rooftop bar was a lovely addition and the food served was lovely. The subway is located right at the end of the street and it is walking distance to a number of attractions - 9/11 memorial and museum, Oculus, Brooklyn Bridge, ferry to SOL to name a few. I would highly recommend the hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Do not book at this place without reading all the very fine print. They have a cancelation policy from hell. You will be charged the full value no mater how far in advance you cancel. Do not use this place if your plans are not rock solid. My business trip got changed and they charged the ENTIRE night.

Hi kurtbC262NQ, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are shocked and disappointed by your comments and with all due respect, quite confused by your words. Your experience is far from normal as most of our reviews can attest to. When making a reservation directly on our website, you have the option of either choosing a daily rate with our normal 48-hour cancellation policy or a non-refundable rate which offers you a discounted rate for booking and paying in advance. While choosing a non-refundable rate certainly has its risks, this is a risk you are agreeing to when making your reservation and accepting to receive a discounted rate. There is no hidden fine print as you mention as the rate itself is labeled as non-refundable, and the terms and conditions are noted before and after making your reservation. Furthermore, you reached out to our front desk via email requesting to cancel your reservation free of charge without any reasonable explanation. In an effort to provide you with good customer service, our front desk staff notified our management team of your request, who immediately reached out to you and agreed to a full refund as we were still a few days away from your arrival date. Even after agreeing to a full refund, you left us a negative review which is a bit puzzling and, in all honesty, does not seem fair. We have tried reaching you via email as well as leaving you a voicemail over the phone with no response. We apologize if you felt our customer service did not meet your expectations but have done everything in our power to speak with you and offer you a positive solution with no response. We hope to hear back from you soon and resolve this matter with you. Thank you.

The hotel is in a great downtown location, a short walk from Wall Street, Brooklyn Bridge, Battery Park and the 9/11 memorial. So a great location for exploring downtown on foot. It’s also very close to Fulton Street station so if you can work out the subway(!) exploring midtown and uptown is also easy. The staff, especially the concierge, are very friendly and had good recommendations on places to eat nearby, quickly dished out umbrellas when raining and were able to arrange our transfer back to JFK. The only downsides were 1) the $16 “facility” charge per room per day (which wasn’t mentioned until we checked out and I’m not sure what it covered) and 2) the 12 floors between our 2 rooms! Not ideal when travelling with children and did take the edge off what could have been a fabulous stay.

We work hard to provide our guests a memorable experience and it's always nice to hear when we do. We do apologize that the Hotels Facility Fee was not mentioned to you during your check-in with us. We are an intimate boutique hotel with 89 rooms on 19 floors and are typically sold out on a daily basis. A great find in the Financial District. The rooms are clean and comfortable and all the staff are welcoming and helpful Special thanks to Daniel M the concierge, who arranged our transport to and from the airport, and gave us fantastic food recommendations. A very grateful thanks to Erica from guest services who went above and beyond to post a package of shopping that was left behind back to the UK. We have many been times to NYC and always stayed uptown. The Artezen is a friendly comfortable hotel in a quieter part of the city, and definitely a hotel we would stay in when we go back.

What a delightful place! I had a great stay and will be happy to recommend to others! Location - across the road from Fulton Station, which was perfect for a tourist who had luggage in a rainstorm. Staff - all so friendly and personable, especially the doormen! Room- was so comfortable, cozy and modern. GREAT bed that was just perfect for a jet lagged traveller like myself. Bathroom was also lovely.
