Stayed for five nights early August. Check in was easy, very friendly staff. Everyone greeted us warmly at every opportunity. Located right near Times Square, across from the Port Authority. Great for easy access to subways, theatres, lots of dinning nearby. Busy neighbourhood, a few sketchy people, parole office right down the street, adult video store but nobody ever bother...

Stayed with family for 6 nights, Hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms are nice if a tad on the small size but this is New York. Mini bar prices are expensive but there are so many options to eat out, buy out and bring back this is not really an issue. Hotel is in a good location to...

Stayed here for 4 nights in August 2013. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Times Square, and is directly across from the bus depot, with subway access so it's easy to get anywhere in the city. The rooms are comfortable and clean, breakfast is decent. It's quite a small hotel with 5 rooms on each floor (around 32...

Stayed @ the Distrikt for 6 nights on our trip to NYC.Loved everything about the hotel, great room, neat lobby with cucumber water & extremely helpful employees who helped us out of a problem with our shuttle service. Would definitely stay here on a return trip.

We spent a week in this hotel in May and couldn't praise it enough. Before our trip we e mailed our requirements and all of these were met perfectly, due to the wonderful Nesha. Location was the best, we walked everywhere. Yes the street was on the slightly gritty side, but we never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. The real strength...

New York accommodation, as you may well know, can be pretty expensive, so it’s nice to find a centrally placed hotel with reasonable prices. Like all hotels they practice yield management so prices may vary, but anyways you won’t be forking out a fortune. On 40th St West between 8th and 9th Avenues it’s a stone’s throw from Times Square...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel, and could not have enjoyed it more. The best part about it was the service, and friendliness of the staff. The hotel itself is pretty small (5 rooms per floor), and is hidden next to a couple larger hotels. But the inside is very classy, and the staff really put in the...

Great little boutique hotel, and a fantastic value! I had booked and paid in advance, and had to change my plans at the last minute. Unfortunately, this meant I had to pay for 2 nights that I wasn't able to actually stay at the hotel, but nonetheless I would still recommend this hotel highly. In fact, I just booked it...

We stayed in Distrikt for one week, we were very impressed with the check in/check out service and the room was fantastic! We were not impressed with the service for breakfast in the mornings, I think this is due to a lack of staff in this section. We often had to stand and wait to be seated and it took...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
