I stayed at Leo House some years ago in a standard single, and my visit this time was altogether more pleasant thanks to the fact that I booked a deluxe room ($225 per night). 'Deluxe' is a relative term: although more nicely appointed than the...More

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed by the staff. They have great hot breakfast buffet included and although it is an old building, it is clean and perfect to sleep and go out and enjoy the city.
Leo House is old, unmodern and definitely not beautiful. However, it's clean, friendly and considering its optimal Manhattan location (nice neighborhood, walking distance to a lot of things and close to several subway stations) the price is more than fair. The breakfast is also good,...More

Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York
City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.

Have you priced Super Shuttle. I used their services from JFK and found them to be reasonable for approximately $20 per passenger. The "shared ride" costs are less expensive, and since you'll have 6 passengers going to the same location, you may not have to wait until the van is full before departing the airport.
I hope you enjoy your trip to NYC...we had a great time on our first trip!
