The hotel is beautiful and luxurious! However it is the staff that make this place head and shoulders above the rest. Friendly, accommodating and genuine. They held our bags because we arrived early and wondered the City until late. They made great restaurant recommendations and told us about opportunities to see some musicals. I had a great conversation with the...

We had a terrific stay at The French Quarters Guest Apartments! The rooms are a bit small, but they are decorated nicely and the rooms are very clean. The beds are very comfortable. What makes this home away from home so unique is the great customer service and location. Monica went out of her way to help us map out...

We stayed here for a short trip mainly to see Hamilton. Just a block away from the venue and tons of places to eat close by. Room immaculate and really unique decor loved it. Bfast bar standard & staff very pleasant and accommodating. Our room over the rather large bar/restaurant on site, which we received several pre-mails warning us about....

This hotel is a MUST place for visitors to New York. Only blocks from Times Square, it is a central destination. Immaculately clean and the staff could not have been more gracious. We were leaving at 4:30am for the airport and they offered to have breakfast sent up to us. Also, the windows were so well insulated, that the street...

This was the first time I had been to New York City, and I was worried about cleanliness as well as safety. We booked our room through TripAdvisor. It was amazing! It was one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The staff was incredibly friendly, and they made sure that our needs were met. The breakfast staff was...

My friend and I stayed at The French Quarters for one night during a quick trip to the city to see a show. This is a wonderful little hotel in a great location -- a very short walk to theatres, and right in the middle of numerous excellent restaurants. Our room was #306, in "the townhouse" which is immediately next...

I actually live in New York and my parents and brother were in for the evening and got a hotel because my apartment is too small to fit everyone. They invited me to stay with them for the night and I accepted because the hotel is 10 minutes from my office. If you're looking to spend most of your time...

We stayed here prior to running the NYC marathon. On arrival, our room was upgraded - it was lovely, clean comfortable and well equipped. Staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Breakfast was very good, a wide choice and plenty of it. The only downside was the noise from the bar below keeping us awake - ear plugs helped ! All...

First stay at French Quarters and hope to return soon. 2 br...room 502...was perfect and quiet. Great service, friendly staff, helpful suggestions on where to eat and best way to get around town. Location cannot be beat. We spent 4 nights and wanted to stay more.

The positive features of The French Quarters: 1) Great location on Restaurant Row...East of Time Square...with Theaters to the North, South, and East; 2) We were treated politely and professionally by all of the staff; 3) A very nice clean room with plenty of space for a six-night stay; and 4) A great bathroom and shower...with plenty of hot water....

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
