Can not say enough great things about the staff. Everyone greeted us warmly and made us feel apart of the family as soon as we arrived. They gave us great suggestions for things to do and and must things to see. The location is wonderful, centrally located near EVERYTHING. The subway is just steps away from the front door, and...

Chelsea Pines is like our second home. We go there since 2005 once a year because it's really a pleasure to stay there. The location is really wonderful, the best to know Chelsea, Meatpacking, Village and close to the High Line. The subway is out of the hotel and in the 8th Ave there are a lot of very nice...

I booked for a week stay based on previous reviews. So my expectations were quite high, but they were surpassed in so many ways. The location is fantastic...14th Street is a major stop on most subway lines plus there are many eating spots and intriguing neighborhoods within walking distance. The Highline Park is less than 2 blocks away. The rooms...

The staff at Chelsea Pines Inn welcomed us warmly as we came through the door and made us feel a part of their family during our entire stay. Our daughter, who was attending Parsons summer academy, enjoyed her stay at the hotel as much as any other part of the trip. We felt like the staff really got to know...

This was my third visit and it seems to get better each time. I arrived late and well after esimated time. I was checked in by the friendly and efficient Daniel {front of house - a great help later in my stay}. My ground floor room was spotless and as well appointed as ever. The staff who keep the rooms...

My sister and I stayed for three nights on our first visit to New York. Comfortable clean rooms (fab bed linen), excellent breakfast and all day snacks, amazing service. All the staff bent over backwards to help us. Safe and friendly district with excellent restaurants and the whole of New York on your drop step.

this was my fourth visit in the Chelsea Pines, approximately once every two years. While some places become tired after a while, this place just gets better and better. Rooms are on the small side (I was in a single) - but not as small as some others in NYC, particularly at this price range. Breakfast is getting better and...

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
