We stayed in Room #204, and it is falling apart, the bed is really bad. Beyond that the staff was nice and the breakfast was good. The inn is in a quiet neighborhood, it is about 7-8 blocks from the subway, but the cross town bus runs from the next street.

We take all feedback very seriously. We have upgraded the room. It now has a brand new Euro Plush Queen size bed and and brand new headboard. it is now one of our most popular rooms.

We recently traveled to New York for our son's wedding. He and his now-wife live close by, and the closest hotel to them is the Gracie Inn, so we stayed there for three nights, along with our other two children and their spouses, and my husband's sister and her husband. We loved it. First of all, our other son is...

I was worried about the other reviews but my room was very clean. No sign of rodent, bug, etc. Daniel was very helpful when I checked in and remembered that I would have a conference call that afternoon to patch through. So nice. The rooms are small, but it's New York and the rate was a value. Nice to have...

Be cautious. Photos look much better than hotel, great photography. Can not wait to leave here in the morning. This place is infested with mice. A mouse jumped on me while walking up stairs this evening. Very run down, showers do not work properly. Furniture is beat up, doors do not close Properly. The only positive thing about this hotel...

Are photos are 100% actual and current taken by an amatuer with my low-end digital camera ($134.99) they are not edited and/or retouched. Her claim about the mice is erroneous. Mice do not jump on people. Exterminator came out anyway and there is no evidence of rodents or any previous infestation. She probably is just looking for a free room....

In October,2011 my girlfriends and I stayed at the Gracie Inn hotel and loved it. Good value for the price. Safe and nice neighborhood. Hotel small and quaint. Staff nice and friendly. Javier was very knowledgeable. My four friends and I stayed in the large suite and loved it. Very comfortable, and clean. Nice quick walk to the Museum. We...

This was my third time staying at this hotel. I’ve always preferred smaller boutique hotels over large hotels. I used to live on 83rd and York and still own my apartment there, so staying at the Gracie Inn is like staying at home. However, I was a bit disappointed in the level of hygiene at this hotel. Being a small...

If I could give this INN no circles I would. Do not stay here. The Inn was nothing like the pictures on the internet. My room was dirty and dingy with broken furniture and blinds that did not fit the windows, I stayed there during a cold spell with the lowest temps reported in NYC to date. There was not heat...

After looking for a reasonably price hotel to stay for 6 friends in New York City. We decided to try the Gracie Inn. This property may not be for everyone, it's a little funky and old. But we loved it. My husband and I had a studio, which looked out on a tree lined 81st street. Our friends shared a...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
