This used to be a well run neighborhood secret, and we often had guests stay here when they visited us, since its right around the corner from our place on the Upper East Side.Sadly, something drastic has changed, and I can no longer recommend it. The last guests we sent there reported that the reception was rude, the room was...

I don't know how I was fooled online...it looked simple and is in a good location...the room was clean but extremely dingy and run down/depressing. And after we left we received an email asking us where the towels were! Outrageous! And it wasn't cheap!

But we could request a cleaning and the sheets would be changed every 3 days. the room was not very clean to start. on the 3 rd day we requested cleaning and left our dirty towels on the floor, when we got back, they had emptied...

The Gracie Inn is a very reasonable priced Inn located in a quiet residential area of the Upper East Side. I visited here 9/10-9/11 2015 on business. I stayed in room #6 on the third floor. This room had a small bathroom, utility kitchen and two bedrooms. It was around 500-600 square feet. The Inn and room were clean. I...

I recently stayed at the Gracie Inn for 1 night. When I arrived, I checked in, however I learned the next morning that I had not received breakfast because I did not fill out the form. I never received the form. When I asked to get breakfast I was told I would have to wait a half hour because they...

Filthy, shameful, tragic. Could be a great B&B, but whoever owns the place has let it go completely. There were plastic bottles under the bed, the sheets had holes in them and were stained. There was hair in the bath. One window in the bedroom had no shades. The shades that were there were twisted and broken so light came...

Never consider this hotel. It looks like a flophouse. The room was dirty with furnishings that were old, beat up, and stained. No services or help. Then add in that my 3 bags were taken by other guests. After almost an hour looking for them and asking the manager for help, did the manager suggest that the guests who had...

This week we spent four nights at the Gracie Inn. Do not go there and spend your travel dollars! It is so below standard!! We rented a room with a kitchenette, which sounded great. However, none of the appliances would work because of the faulty electricity. The lights in our room would go on and off by themselves. The outlets...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
