If you love older NYC hotels with character, you will probably enjoy the New Yorker. Very clean and updated but with a lot of charm and history (loved the Art Deco). Everyone was friendly and willing to help or answer questions. Very convenient to Madison Square/Penn Station. Loved having the tavern right downstairs on one side for dinner (Cooper's Tavern...

I arrived from an international flight late in the evening; putting me at the hotel at roughly 10:55pm. I just wanted to lay down and rest. The lobby is certainly spacious and pretty. It has a lot of that old New York feel. The staff seemed relatively friendly, though I saw them snapping a bit at come customers and walking...

My first visit to New York City! I have more compliments than complaints with this hotel!! The negative was the Tick Tock Restaurant which is located within the hotel! The service was terrible, and the food was disgusting! My bed sheet head a stain on it! I would like address what was excellent! I encountered a Gentleman by the name...

The hotel was in a perfect location. Directly across the street from Madison Square Gardens and Penn Station. 12 short blocks (10 minutes) from Time Square and a few blocks from the Empire State Building. The hotel is an older, more historic hotel but I must say it was very clean and impressive. Enjoyed having the tick tock diner downstairs...

We stayed there for a little over a week, everything from services to accommodation was great. It was clean, safe, always professional and spacious enough for the lot of us. Could not recommend it enough for the price and location. Best sleeps you could ask for, just don't believe the hate it gets, just a bunch of p*****s who won't...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
