We were at AKA Sutton Place for 5 nights. Very happy with the accommodation - the apartment is clean and well maintained. It is of good size and we enjoy having the spacious living room and the kitchen is well equipped with a large Sub-zero, microwave and oven. The location is close to the main shopping avenues and restaurants within...

We stayed here for a long stay of three weeks. If you are in NYC for an extended period this place is perfect. Great amenities (indoor pool) quiet street but centrally located. Could probably use a little more maintenance in apartments. The staff is friendly and helpful, it's basically like renting a condo with hotel service

Arrived after a long 30 hours travel from Australia, and were greeted by the most friendly desk-staff ever. The suite was spacious, smart and clean. The quiet location assured a good night's sleep in the comfortable beds. The pool was a highlight- our children used it every day, beautifully clean and inviting. Free wi-fi was valuable. The staff were so...

We stayed here in June 2011 and loved it. We had a two bedroom suite and the rooms were very large. The kitchen was small, but plenty of room for cooking breakfast and dinner. My kids loved the pool and it was nice for them to have a place to ply after a day of sigh seeing. The location is...

When I’m in New York I want an apartment, in an upmarket neighbourhood, with an excellent deli and wine shop across the street. As a result we have become addicted to the AKA Sutton Place. We try and take the same spacious apartment each time we go and we settle in. The staff sorts everything with maximum efficiency, minimum fuss...

I stayed here for a week. It's an extended stay apartment so you don't have to deal with typical hotel nonsense. The building has great staff and nice decor. I would recommend to anyone staying in NYC longer then 7 days.

We stayed at AKA Sutton Place for two weeks. I have traveled all over the world and this is my first review. It takes a lot to impress me. This place is perfect. A one bedroom is like a small house!!! Clean, comfortable, modern, spacious and quiet. Very well located. The staff are simply OUTSTANDING! So genuine and helpful. Nothing...

We enjoyed our 10 nights stay at aka Sutton Place apart from the smell of cigar smoke coming into our apartment from a shared ventilation system. We chose to stay at aka because they advertise the building as "SMOKE FREE" and one of our traveling companions suffers from very bad asthma. Unfortunately it took us 2 days to get any...

Our family of 4 stayed at the AKA Sutton Place for 9 nights. For us it was like home away from home with the apartment style but the back up of the very helpful and charming concierge. Many of the guests were long term so felt fortunate to be accommodated. I do wonder if the previous tripadvisor comment reviewed the...

Tired of New York hotels? This is an excellent alternative. Their short stay apartments are comfortable, clean and spacious. The location, in the one of the quietest streets in Sutton Place, is excellent. The staff are fantastic - always friendly and helpful, as well as super efficient. Unlike staying in a hotel, there is no room service or laundry. But...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
